Well, that's their problem. If losing one guy causes them to miss the playoffs then it's a flawed offensive philosophy. Other teams dealt with loss of impact players better than Edmonton.

Don't like the way Lankford drops that ball on punts. Great 69 yard punt but he comes forward on his first step after getting the snap holding the ball with just one hand. But that is a minor correction he'd need to work on if he was a full time punter.

Injuries are part of the game. They lost Walker who is one player. The rest of the receiving corps stayed intact. Calgary was competitive until they lost their fourth starting receiver. What happened in Calgary was a legit reason for their downfall but they have issues elsewhere on that team as well. You can't point to the Walker injury & say that's why they missed the playoffs. Besides, Edmonton's defense has been awful this year.

Good for Dunigan not going for the Rod Black bait that the bad 2nd half of the season was due to Derel Walker's injury.

Nope. back in the days of 32 man rosters all kinds of players started other positions but also kicked & punted. Example, Don Jonas led the league in passing & scoring as a qb/kicker in 1971. He won the Schenley Award in 1971 as the CFL's MOP.

Maas is a Hervey guy. If fired, I can realistically see him as HC in BC.

I'm sure Maas is done in Edmonton.

Williams with the spectacular catch for the Esks TD. Reilly can do that all day long. No one cares anymore. He chucked it all year long & they still missed the playoffs. Ha. Ha. Ha.

I think he actually is a qb wizard as a qb coach. But not as a HC.

Things were bad under Trestman in Toronto this season. He became a real control freak as well as a bit of a tyrant. Including the dressing down of a MLSE employee that was so severe that he quit. Marc's personal life was obviously taking a toll but if Drew Edwards story is correct & he's a reliable reporter with good sources maybe Marc should have taken a leave of absence to deal with the tragedies in his life. The other two players were basically the entire team by themselves. Burden set a CFL record for rushing in a single season in 1975 (since broken) while Edwards dominated similarly in 1977 rushing for over 1,500 yards. Both players didn't have a qb like Reilly on their team. Burden had Joe Pisarcik while Edwards had Jimmy Jones. They put their teams on their back & carried them. Reilly struggled without Derel Walker & especially after Duke Williams was hurt.

All that just so The Classic could segue the Poop signing in there as face rub. Rider fans. Pfft.

Hunter always made it about himself. That's what you get when you main event & get into the ring once or twice a year at his age & tries to recapture his youth. Shawn Micheals better think twice about a comeback. Same with the Undertaker & Kane.

I think it's a travesty that guy was beaten out by Trevor Harris. Real shame.

He sucked the last half of the season. He doesn't deserve that award.
