He had a lot of offensive talent to work with like Anthony Calvillo, Ben Cahoon, Tyree Davis & Thomas Haskins as well as a very, very good OL. In Hamilton as HC the talent just wasn't there & his qb Casey Printers may have been one of the laziest & selfish qbs who ever played in the CFL. No surprise they finished 3-15 that year. He fell on his sword & was fired.

Claybrooks isn't a very good HC but he'll have a job as a DC somewhere. Then we'll see how he does calling defensive signals not being a part of the Stampeders. I doubt if he'll have the same success elsewhere than he did in Calgary.

I think Streveler would make a more dangerous slot than running back. With his size & toughness there's potentially a lot of YAC yards there. Brad Sinopoli made the successful move from qb to slot with the Stamps & now Ottawa.

Forgot to mention that defensive back Larry Kerychuk was Don Jonas holder in 71 & both Jonas & McKee in 72. He retired after that season because of concussion issues.
