Al Davis used to bring in every team's rejects or guys that wouldn't fit a roster on other teams. They embraced the fact scouts, coaches & GMs thought they weren't good enough to play in the NFL or had worn out their welcome elsewhere. And they won. Some of the Raiders players weren't pretty but they were gritty & they won.

You can't talk GOAT without including this guy. He anchored the Bombers OL at LT & was an All Canadian 6 times, four with us. To me, Walby, Bryant & Frank were the 3 best tackles who ever played. Pierce has played & coached with LaPo for so long that he will be a LaPo Disciple. The hope we have is that he'll not become predictable on first down & also stretch the field more with the vertical passing game. Not go into a shell if we have a 10 point lead. To keep playing at the same tempo the entire game. Not take the foot off the accelerator. If he does then that will separate Pierce from his mentor.
