The penalty was announced as "illegal interference on the kicker". It was a 10 yd penalty and the word roughing was never used. Plus, roughing the kicker is a 15 yarder.

The guy has missed numerous converts already, and dinged one through last week. That is concerning any way you put it. Overall his start is encouraging, but he's gonna have to string handfuls of good games together before he earns my confidence.

I saw a clear touch to the helmet as he went down, looked obvious on the first replay. Why are people saying this? What am I missing?

I don't see that so much as luck as others here, we made the plays we needed to. Ugly yes, but I don't think it was that lucky.

He is good. Calgary has always been able to instantly find the kind of quarterbacks we spend 10 years looking for and often then, never find.
