Blue Jays
But his best years are behind him. It's been trending down. There's a reason that no other clubs were willing to give him a longer deal. Jays are praying that they catch lightning in a bottle. They need an angry Bautista so that's he's effective.

Because management makes decisions on a entire body of work and trends and not kneejerk based on the previous night?

I'm not sure about that... I liked that Chevy had PoMo ready to go.

Game 47 : Jets @ Sharks - West Coast Story
How could the Pens fit him in under the cap? Don't see that happening. I think Buff could play 22 - 24 minutes a night. Beyond that and it's trouble. I would like to see Morrissey and Trouba together. If Trouba re-signs, that's your pairing for the next 5 plus years anyhow.

Game 48 : Alexander @ The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Team
Amazing what happens when editors aren't involved. Back in Winnipeg? Yeah, who knows?!

Yes, there are no restrictions on the goalies (like there are on the skaters).

Game 48 : Alexander @ The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Team
And, with the condition that the Vegas Strippers have to pick three goalies, there's a chance they take Hutch. He's cheap and has done well at times. Plus, he's only got one year left. Jets wouldn't lose anyone else. You would be stuck with Emery or whoever for the following year.

Maurice has tried a lot of other approaches. Maybe this one works to get their attention.

Game 48 : Alexander @ The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Team
That's wayyyy too kneejerk. I don't Chipman making decisions like that. It would be foolish to keep running out goalies that have their confidence shattered. Well, young ones anyhow. I don't see a problem with letting Pav come up for a few games and seeing if the team reacts positively. They really have nothing to lose at this point. I don't think it will solve the problem. But repeating the same thing and potentially crushing your future number one's confidence, isn't going to help either.

Pav doesn't help the defensive zone breakdowns. Hmmm, not breakdowns, that suggests there is a structure back there. Let's say, Pav doesn't help the lack of defence.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
No doubt Nichols was consulted about playing with Stafford. Rightly or wrongly, Stafford left the Als with a lot of controversy. Let's hope it was situational and Stafford proves to be a good teammate and on-field producer.

Walter's Priorities Part 2
I'm still on board with Smith. Obviously, we hope for more production and consistency but I think he showed enough to earn another year here. If he was abysmal, then I would look elsewhere. I think his upside is still really high.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
I'm sure Richards will be ready for the second preseason game, then the fourth or fifth game of the season, then ready for final four games. I was just kidding including him. NI receiver is a major (glaring?) weakness of this current roster. Hopefully, they can address that.

You forgot about Richards. But seriously... I'm okay with this. Maybe they can find some fresh talent down south?

Game 47 : Jets @ Sharks - West Coast Story
They have to sign him this summer or he's an FA. I doubt he'll leave school early this year and it's still a big jump from the NCAA to the NHL.

This is such a great program. They go out to the schools to talk about domestic violence. Break the Silence on Violence Against Women. http://www.bluebombers.com/breakthesilence/

Yes, we are. We still have the exclusive right to negotiate with Nichols for the next few weeks. The Riders have no experienced QBs and have no ability to negotiate until FA begins. There's a lot of value in that. Of course, if you never intended on bringing Durant back, why not trade him. But, today, the Riders do not have a starting QB.

Chevy
Stafford won't get you much. There will be plenty of players of his ilk available that non-playoff teams will want to dump. They're not going to protect them or they're coming off a contract, so why not?!

No, but I completely poached that comment from him. You can call me Scott Taylor.

Sorry, old post but I just saw it.... Showtime Robby Royce? Loved that guy. Used to chant 'mullet' at him at tons of shows. Always a great performer.

Apparently Jones is calling Calgary for Tate. Rekindle his career... once last chance.

He goes East-West, not North-South! Apparently he's there and practicing now.

Durant can still wait for free agency. And for the value, it's just a few weeks of negotiating rights. What did you expect?

Yes, if you plan to work there, you do. However, a temporary work visa and work and residency visa are different.

Don't they know he's Russian? Russia & the US are like two peas in a pod. .Surprised he would a work visa at all!
