Same reason we were excited over Poblah and Waggoner, future hall of famer!

So, that's the first pick of the 3rd round?

27th overall pick next year? That's sounds reasonable. But would TO, Sask, Ham, Edm, or Mtl also give up a 3rd rounder or better? That's what we have to 'beat', right?

2017 NHL Playoffs
If I said a year ago that PK Subban would be two wins away from the Cup in 2017, Habs fans would be over the moon. But as it stands, they're going to be disgusted with their own GM. That alone makes me want to cheer for the Predators. I'll also be happy if Sid gets another Cup. Win-win.

I think the Riders have the best group of receivers in the league but I don't think you have anyone who can get them the ball. That oline would look great 3 to 4 years ago. I'm not certain they can hold up anymore.

2017 NHL Off Season
That's totally BS. But I would love to see Calgary do it, only to make them weaker. Also, the pure joy of watching Ovi getting on a plane next January to Korea with Burke losing his mind, throwing stuff at him at the airport would be priceless. Followed by Ovi 'retiring' from the NHL the following season. Gold, Jerry, gold!!

US Politics
I'm not sure. It plays into his whole diatribe about the courts running everything. He loses the case and claims the US is not protected against extremists. Eventually, there is some form of terror attack and he blames the courts and Democrats. Feed the base. Meanwhile, he fleeces the country, lines his pockets and golfs.

Can't wait for the season to start, when the Rider-Snowflakes melt into Rider-Tears.

Canadian Politics
I would assume so. It's nasty business running for the leadership of a party. Some get fed up, some get pushed out and some just get tired. I bet Ashton lasts until convention but I doubt she gets much support.

Prognosticator Time for us Gurus
Do any of those QBs start more than 13 games this year? I doubt it.

I think it depends entirely on who you have as part of your staff and how much work is delegated. He can have all the labels he wants but if he's trying to do ALL of those jobs, then I don't think it works. There are not enough hours in the day do all the work that Walters does and all the work that O'Shea does.

81, right? 9 Teams * 18 Games Each / 2 Teams per Game = 81.

If they stay healthy, I think we have a talented enough corps of receivers to do well (or well enough). But they have to stay healthy...

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
I checked my notes and that's what he said. I was there while he toured the facilities at Guelph.

2017 NHL Off Season
Jets already have 32 contracts. That leaves them 18. They're going to re-sign, what, 6 or 7 RFAs/UFAs? Assuming they add a couple of more during the offseason, they probably have a bit of wiggle room. That being said, I'm not sure he's worth a contract and the opportunity cost.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
Let's not forget that MOS got a one-year extension to his contract. After the signing, Walters said, "he's not done much as a coach. Great that he's entering the HOF as a player but that's not really helping the Bombers win now. Since there's no one better available right now, he has the gig until Labour Day when LaPo will probably take the reigns. Lord help us. Prove me wrong, Mike, prove me wrong."

Cheveldayoff willing to move first round pick
The other option is that you buyout Toby. But then you lose a LHD (and still pay him) and you lose someone else like Dano. Then you have an even bigger LHD problem.

Cheveldayoff willing to move first round pick
Here's the thing, if Myers were healthy (or almost healthy), Vegas would scoop him up in a second. If the Jets can't get Toby to waive his NMC, I would hate to expose Myers but you may not have a choice. Since Vegas won't have access to Myers before the draft and certainly none of his medical records, maybe they would get nervous and not take him. But, if I'm Vegas and Myers is on the list, I'm taking him and taking my chances.
