I can understand that but these signings were expected, I think. You sign them as you get their signatures on the line. It's not a linear process. That being said, we've certainly secured our O for 2018 but that wasn't a weakness.

I'm surprised he wasn't owed a bonus before today. Interesting that they wait until FA opens before releasing him, so it's harder to catch on somewhere. Hope everyone takes notice of that.

I enjoyed it. I think the idea of a quicker game is great. Europeans have been playing for a few years but Canadians are just so damned skilled at curling. It won't be an after-thought in the future. Reminds me of the Rugby 7s or one day cricket. Same game, just done quicker. I can also see how this will take off recreationally in Canada.

He needs to play in the AHL for a season, I think. No reason that he can't spend a year there, getting used to the speed. Obviously, he'll have a chance to make the big club. They said similar things last year right after drafting him.
