I don't agree. There is no one out there that we could pick up that would be able to suit up for game one and step in. With the only 6 days until our season starts and the short-er nature of Nichols injury, I think we should stay the course.

That's true with any team. Problem is, you can't just send a back-up out to eat up the clock like in the NFL. Turnovers and two-and-outs make the game so much closer than they seem.

I agree, I want our starters starting. That way, they spend the week building up to the start and they go through their normal game-day process. I think there is value in that, just for rhythm. I'm good if they're out after the first quarter.
