Haha. What I meant was now they only be able to do the dodgy stuff and keep the above-the-board expenses under the cap.

Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
I think we can blame the bottom-feeders, where they can't (or won't) invest more into coaching. Sure, I think the Riders threw a lot of money around but, at least, they were reinvesting their earnings. Now, they'll just pocket everything (and run dodgy, off the books stuff).

That's my understanding. I would also imagine that MOS is on the bottom have of HCs, given his lack of experience and success (relative to others).

Agreed. I forgot about the cap on coaches (number, not dollars) until today. I had to check the Bombers staff list just to be sure we still had space to add if we wanted to. I wish everything were laid out. Player and coach contracts. But, that's pretty selfish of me because I really don't need to know how much MOS, Lapo, Hall make. It doesn't really change anything but I like to know so I can play armchair GM.

These are the kind of knee-jerk takes that give fan bases a bad name. There was nothing the Esks could do.

I'm not suggesting you were. I'm looking for real solutions, just like you are. I'm only pointing out that the science is real and that we need to find ways to make pollution and uncontrolled consumption more costly, rather than downloading the problem to future generations. The polluters already have.

Nice find. The bit about the Schooners is quite surprising. It must really suck in Regina if he were willing to take an office gig way out in Halifax just to get out.

I believe the cap would have already produced casualties if it were going to happen. EDIT: Although, Lapo gets a big chunk of change and I thought that might cause issues on the cap. I'm really surprised Hall hasn't (has not) retired. I was optimistic that we would be "renewing" our defensive coaching staff this year by promoting some of our coordinators and Hall retiring. Given the way the defense played last year, maybe this is not a bad thing.

I was wondering that too. Not sure how that would work, exactly. You wouldn't want to have anyone think that you're trying to circumvent the rules!

Easier to just ignore science and pretend it isn't true. Science is for geeks anyhow. I don't see it, so it can't be true.

Do we have room on our staff and coaching payroll cap to fit Dressler in? I'm not sure if he wants to be a coach but seems like he has the personality for it. I wonder if we could bring him in on a dual role? I'm completely clueless on how this may work, if at all. Lapo is currently the receivers coach. Partially answered with the JC Sherritt signing. Teams can have 11 coaches. We currently list 10. So, there is room for another, if we choose and have the cap space.

Ironically, he didn't even last one scaramucci.

True enough. But his position doesn't get stronger. In fact, he's better off just making it an election issue. He can pump his fists and yell about brown people for the next two years. Every time a brown person gets a parking ticket, he can tweet about it. That is, of course, if he can run for president from jail.

The shutdown was Trump's fault. But, he did do the right thing in the end. Since he created the mess, he gets no credit but at least he didn't dig in any further to make it even worse.

I think it's a good move. It gives him and O'Day a chance to actually rebuild the team. And, it does need rebuilding.

Since science is clearly out, I recommend that those that "don't see it so it can't be true" read this: The Death of Expertise: The Campaign Against Established Knowledge and Why it Matters You can get it at the library.

Pelosi, asked how Trump will handle backdown on reopening government without wall money, gestures toward her office decorations: “we could plant these flowers along the border and he’d say, ‘I got my wall.’ “ — John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) January 25, 2019 Pelosi OWNS Trump. Exactly what I was thinking. CNN is big enough to send a few crews out to monitor boots on the street. And, lets just say that someone in the FBI did tip off CNN, what does that have to do with the indictment of Stone? It's just Good'ol Boy Republicans trying change the story. A typical Trump move.

Some people: Clearly, with all the indictments against Trump's inner circle, he must be clean. Otherwise, he would have been indicted too. Congress caves and cuts a deal over re-opening government. Trump is winning! MAGA!

The Gender Pay Gap
I suppose you can start here: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0095399716636928 Then, you can read all the papers they cite. Then you can go through Google Scholar to see everything that has been peer reviewed and published. I think you'll be astonished that despite working for 30 years, it does not make you an expert (or even informed) on the gender pay gap that exists.

They obviously thought Stone was a flight risk and someone who would destroy evidence, otherwise, like the others, he would have been allowed to turn himself in. Now we're getting to the lowest of the scum. Next will be the Trumps.

Better yet, they should go with no HC. Just let the coordinators call the plays when their players are on the field. It will go marvellously.
