The Retirement Thread
I was lucky enough to listen to Jim broadcast Canucks games for one year, while I lived on the Left Coast. Truly one of the best. I should add, he was the radio play by play announcer. Many nights, I stood there listening, while working the late shift at a gas station.

If they've suspended Young, they could be using his salary to pay for Jones, right? I'm not sure how the coaches salary cap works under suspensions.

They should really be providing fluids to their players. Can't believe they forced him not to drink anything before, during and after the game. That Rider org is really something else.

It wasn't Elections Canada. There are rules. EC asked to have two days of polling, over the weekend to make it easier.

He'll have to drive to Ottawa. Hope he has to stay in his home there, completely isolated. That was a huge waste of time but I'm always happy to see an active democracy. Canadians weren't happy about this election but they still exercised their right to vote. JT needs to hit the road.

Players as much as they ever are. Up a few when they're cranky, down some when they're not. Rinse, repeat. The Green party had always been way out in the wilderness (no pun intended). There is a lot of overlap with fringe protest parties. 3 times a loser. I wish I could see him lose another dozen times but, really, I just hope he goes away. So close to the leadership of the Cons. Two elections ago. Doucette's last.

Bloc are similar to last time. They only really dropped with Doucette. 10 years in the wilderness.

I agree But, those voters don't disappear. They may stop voting for a while but they won't truly go away.

PPC holds on now that they have that libertarian vote that's left the greens. It's a protest vote and there's always room for a protest party in Canada.

Polls are one thing but you need to motivate the voters to out and vote. Local organizing is key. If voters are apathetic, they won't vote. Between the Cons, the Libs and the NDP, who do you think is most motivated to get out there? My guess is the Cons and the NDP. What I don't know is how motivated are Liberal voters to get there and ensure we don't end up with the disaster the Cons did with the pandemic? That's a bit of a mystery. Saying you would vote Libs to a pollster and actually going out to vote are two different things. Who's motivated?
