CIS Draft - May 2nd
Taman was much better than Mack overall. But the one good thing about Mack is that he had the patience to suffer while we waited to have an upcoming stock of draft picks. Probably it had more to do with thinking his Americans were better than cfl vets however he did turn the tide in this area and was able to hand over a team to the next gm which actually had draft picks on day one.

After the Taman Empire we were just happy to have any draft picks at all.

Addison Richards' potential was really limited by injuries and wasn't a first round pick.. I wouldn't put these two in the same category.

Not sure what value there is in critiquing the drafting history of the bombers prior to Walters calling the shots after Mack was fired. We know they were bad at drafting until that point.

Around the League: 2019 Off Season
The wildcard in bc is the head coach. If he can squeeze a lot of juice out of an underpriced D they could be pretty good.

Players You're Excited To See
Matt Nichols. Boring choice but to me it’s a big deal if he has a decent degree of his mobility back which he lacked last season after the injury.

I wonder if we would consider converting kongbo to DT? He played some there in college and it’s more advanced against then run than as a pass rusher.

Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
I noticed while i was on bluebombers.com that Drake Nevis was no longer listed on the roster. I hope this is some sort of clerical error.

Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
I had some time on my hands so I put together a tentative depth chart including team's recent draft picks. It hard to know which rookie DB's and WR's will compete for which spots but I did the best I could here.

I don't see Maleek Irons making or breaking the draft for them. No way does he unseat Alex Green any time soon.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
It worked out pretty well for us when we selected Simonise who had been out of competitive football for a period of time and it worked out great the Loffler who had major injury concerns. The key is developing the Canadian talent well and accumulating additional picks so you can roll the dice one some picks which could pan out really well. Not sure about Edmonton's draft. I feel like their cupboards are already bare and they drafted Betts who "might" never play in the CFL and an offensive lineman who only projects as a tackle in the CFL. The odds are against any one player who's brought to the CFL as a tackle to end up being good enough. Seems pretty risky to me.

Yeah... I mean the quality of Canadian brought in by this team rivals the american talent at times. Which to me is just crazy. Most of the good americans on these team were free agents or trades.

He finds more quality players in the Canadian Draft than our American scouting department does.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
By the time wilkenson can hold 310 pounds on his frame the cfl will only have 5 Canadian starters.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
I imagine he fell over lack of weight. He’s listed at 270.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
With that 40 yard time I don’t see him being anywhere else.

Since when are we not thrilled when Winnipeg drafts a local player?

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Not wrong. Surprised he’s still on the board.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Well. The guy we just drafted is a center and gonna be good pretty quickly. Couture may not have the size for any position other than center and he isn’t even a natural center.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Will somebody remind Hamilton that the regional portion of the draft hasn’t started yet.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
I’m certainly not going to complain if it happens. Don’t get me wrong. Looks like couture won’t be a starter for long if at all.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
I’d be surprised if he’s on the board at that point. But I’m not sure another offensive lineman makes sense at this point. How many can you actually carry. We’d be drafting a guy to sit on the dev roster until Neufeld gets carted off I guess.

Argos seemed more focused on drafting a player who would agree to a 3 year deal than drafting the best talent.

I wonder if Simba will end up being a lion?

Ungerer. I’d pick him based on name alone.
