Game 47 : Aliens vs Predators @ Jets
Maurice says game ti me decision.........Cormier will take his place if Burmi can't go.
-
Buff or Trouba
I'd rather see a true LHD in that position than two RHD playing LHD.

2nd or 3rd for Drouin? You mean 2nd or 3rd round draft pick? If you think that is all TB gets for Drouin, think again.
-
Buff or Trouba
I'm not implying the Jets can trade Myers for Hamonic. If the Jets sign Hamonic, what do we do with 4RHD?
-
Around the NHL
I say he is traded by Feb. 15th.

Buff or Trouba
5.5 is too much for Myers. I just think that a team should care more about talen than the bottom line and making more money. The team would be better with Hamonic than Myers but Myers only costs them 4, 3.5, and 3 with a 5.5 hit but Hamonic would cost them 4.875, 4.875, 4.875, and 4.875 for the next 4 with a 3.857 cap hit. In a couple of years when they are in a pinch for the cap, tell me who has the better contract. Besides, like I said earlier, he is the 3rd best RHD we have. Should the 3rd best RHD cost you 5.5 on the cap hit?
-
Buff or Trouba
Because the Jets would probably have a less talented, harder on the cap but easier on the pocketbook, player than a more talented, easier on cap but harder on pocketbook player. The salary/caphit should come into consideration but talent should be the reason no?

Buff or Trouba
Probably one of the reasons Hamonic isn't in a Jets' uni.

If he plays like some people say he can, that "damage" will be forgotten.
-
Buff or Trouba
and that is sad.
-
Buff or Trouba
I'm not saying it is a bad contract. I'd rather be a team that cares more about the cap hit than the actual salary. His cap hit is 5.5m per year.
-
Buff or Trouba
???? can you explain this?
-
Buff or Trouba
Little had had very good seasons on the wing. Are you going to put Scheifele on the 3rd or on wing? Little would be the one to move over. You don't like soft players but you like Myers? For someone that has played and watched hockey as much as you say you do/have, you must see what a soft player he is, especially for his size.
-
Ladd and Buff
It wouldn't surprise me if the cap stayed where it is.
-
Buff or Trouba
RNH would become our 1C...no doubt about it. Myers is the softest layer on the Jets and the reason the Jets wouldn't trade him is because his cap hit is 5.5m but his actual salary is declining every year. I'd rather have a solid D man like Hamonic but Myers plays very soft, especially for a D man. He isn't worth the 5.5m cap hit in my opinion. If he were a LHD, my opinion might be different and his contract might be worth it.
-
Buff or Trouba
RNH is a gifted, two-way 1C. Myers is a soft, 2RHD. I don't dislike Myers, I like him. He can't help it that Trouba and Buff are better.
-
Buff or Trouba
I know Myers is soft, one of the reasons I'd trade him. I think we would have to add to Myers to get RNH. Ladd RNH Little Perreault or Armia or Ehlers with Scheifele and Wheeler Would look nice as our 1st and 2nd lines.
-
Ladd and Buff
Ehlers, Lemieux, Morrissey, Petan, De Leo, Kostalek, Lodge, Comrie, and Blomqvist are all RFAs in 2018-2019.
-
Ladd and Buff
We shouldn't be looking at what is left this year but looking at next year. They are 30m away from the cap next year. UFA Buff 7.5 Ladd 6 Halischuk .8 Lipon .75 Armia 1.2 Clitsome Cormier Pardy Harrison Raffl RFA Trouba 4.25 Lowry 1.75 Scheifele 4.25 Hutchinson 1.25 Fraser Kichton Brassard MacWilliam Melchiori The bolded players will not be taken into consideration. This is adding 27.75 to the cap.......2.25 away from ceiling. Probably too many players though. Probably too close to the cap. Staf, MP, Thorburn, Pavs and Postma are all UFAs after next season. About 13.5m. Burmi, Copp, Chiarot and Helle are RFAs after next season.
-
Buff or Trouba
If he were healthy, I'd do it in a heartbeat. 1C for a 2RHD is a win all day every day.

Prospect Report
His size and skating have always been his knocks,

Ladd and Buff
Bowey and Vrbana for Buff (retained at 50%)...
-
Buff or Trouba
Myers for RNH...
-
Ladd and Buff
Ladd pretty much admits the off-season surgery has slowed him down and he is just back to normal. I'm glad to hear his play is due to a long rehabilitation and not to him losing his game because some games he was in this season, he wasn't in this season. He's asked about his health in today's interview with him around the 2:40 mark. http://video.jets.nhl.com/videocenter/

Get the players to vote on who should make the ASG. Who knows better which players should be there. First and second all star team and then fill in the roster with players from teams that aren't represented. I honestly can't remember the last ti me I watched an ASG but I think Mario Lemieux was in it.
