So... "don't like new things" it is.

Curious to know why you think it's a mistake. Is that what your market research tells you or is this just a "don't like new things" thing?

In places like Vancouver and Toronto where there is 1) A struggling CFL team 2) A large immigrant population that loves soccer (but not football), why not give this a try. I suspect that they've actually done some market research and see potential. Why would you deny them the opportunity to maybe make a dollar or two?

It wasn't. There are two guys currently on the roster for that spot, not including two draft picks and other "pick-ups" that might yet happen.

And just how many "elite" Canadians do you think that any team can afford to carry? It's not always about getting the best player. Sometimes it's getting the best player you can afford. So maybe JFG/Richards are those players.
