So Ripper, answer me this: Is Chris Jones' reputation tainted? Seeing that he was caught cheating on more than one occasion, and rather blatantly?

I would also point out that there is now no way for him to prove anything regarding tampering. Even if tainted pills are found, one could easily suggest that maybe, the manufacturer wasn't the one responsible. He can get the stuff tested for his own peace of mind, but that's about it.

In a way, it sort of sucks to lose Matthews right now amid all the drama and injuries, but at the same, if management was feeling that they couldn't justify the dollars they were paying him, it's nice to see that they'll do what they believe needs to be done.

Booch, my question is this: If tainted supplements are a well known and documented problem, why in the world would any top level athlete ever risk using off the shelf products? To me it's playing with fire. Sure the chance may be small, but the damage caused by a positive test can be, as we've just seen, catastrophic for his/her reputation. I would think that if supplements are needed, that the team's staff be the supplier and players instructed that they are not to take anything without clearance, period. This way, if there's a positive test, it should be comparatively easier to trace.

If this is the case, then the only way to deal with this is to have all supplements supplied through the team, with samples kept for testing. It would seem to me that if contamination is a thing, then any athlete wanting to use supplements would be putting himself/herself in jeopardy trying to manage this themselves.

We place enormous amounts of pressure on pro athletes to perform, and even more pressure on stars like Harris. Not condoning this, but it's not surprising either.

Here's what we do: 1 - buy 10 cheap tickets to the Riders game 2 - buy 10 Riders jerseys 3 - buy 10 ewes 4 - put Riders jersey on ewes 5 - put ewes in the stands The result will be that the Riders and their fans will be completely distracted by the babe-fest. Game, set, match. Oh yea, one more thing: After the win: 1 - burn Riders jerseys 2 - apologize to the ewes
