Love how you describe each win as being the other team losing versus the Bombers winning. This might shock you but the reason the Bombers won both games against Calgary was because they were the better team. The goal post wasn't the only reason that that Saskatchewan lost and if by the end of the 3rd quarter of the Grey Cup you had any doubts, then I have to question whether you were actually paying attention at all. Here's the thing, you can actually start believing that the Bombers are good, really good, and not just lucky.

I recall how "the sky is falling" types were wringing their hands last year when we lost two all-stars on the o-line and how there was going to be such a dramatic drop off. I think that there might actually be a plan for situations like this, so Walters and co. will do their stuff. Not too worried.

You can have that opinion. It's just a really really dumb one, in my opinion. It's dumb because you haven't been a fan long enough to remember the Blue Bombers merry-go-round of failure, which amounted to having a re-roll of personnel every 2-3 years. By the way, here's a fact for you: with the new salary cap structure for coacing staff, firing three people at once would be just about as dumb a move as you could possibly make because if would have a severe impact on coaching salaries for several years.

And therein lies part of the problem. We have moved from things like dictionaries to "cheat sheets" because facts matter less and less.

Oh my. Opinions can most certainly be wrong. Love that we seem to be living in a post-fact world. Let me give you a couple of examples: You can have an opinion that the world is flat. Your opinion would be wrong. You can have an opinion that vaccinations are inherently dangerous. Your opinion would be wrong. Opinions that are based on measurables/stats/evidence can be wrong.

Especially thankful that they continued to stay the course. 3 year extensions for both. Don't need to do any of those silly 5 year things and potentially cause issues down the road. Steady hands on the tiller!
