Game Day Thread - League Opener: Eskies
I thought Fogg was alright last night. Randle had a rough night and Gaitor was a disaster. The secondary looked about the same as it did last season, giving up way too much and getting beat too easily. Is that on personnel or the system in place? I don't know but that soft zone crap seems to be entirely ineffective.

As the old saying goes: a fish rots from the head down. And we're all plenty acquainted with the Melnykfish and its unique stench. Yeah, I'm sure everyone wants to play in the nation's capital these days. Perhaps Hoffman and his psycho fiancé are cut from the same stupid, ugly cloth. I honestly feel bad for Senators fans right now. The last year has been beyond disastrous.

Depth Charts June 14th Bombers vs Eskimos
Couldn't agree more. One game is not usually a reasonable measuring stick (maybe a playoff game could be the exception), but that's especially the case with a week 1 season opener.

Bighill could be the general the defense needs. He just seems like a natural "lead by example" type and consistently puts his money where his mouth is. And I anticipate he'll be amped tomorrow.

Uh, did you watch the Riders final PS game on Friday? Collaros, Mason, Roosevelt, Holley, Carter, Bailey, Moncrief, Eguavoen, Hurl, Edem, Gainey... Oh, and the O-line. That's well over a dozen projected starters.

Listening to either is like choosing between a kick to the junk or a punch to the junk; both are equally lousy and painful. However, at least Suitor has solid knowledge and insight on the game. Black is just an all-around nuisance who spends more time babbling like an idiot and coming up with some of the dumbest nick names ever. "Mr. Hall of Fame" "Mr. Milestone" "Mr. YAC"

What would he have to gain by lying and putting on a "big show" while being a huge part of the team's blue line? He rescinded his trade request over 18 months ago and has been playing a key role on his dominant side. Since then, he's expressed being happy with his role on the team and during the playoffs went on record saying he wants to be a Jet long-term. Methinks you're still dwelling on what happened prior to the 2016-17 season. That's just a hunch, though. Bottom line: if you can sign him long-term at a reasonable price, you do it. He and Morrissey will anchor the blue line for the foreseeable future.- Around the NHL 2017/2018

I'm pretty sure geography played a role in his decision. Ottawa is only a couple of hours away from his hometown, so that probably made the decision easier.- Around the League: 2018 Season
