Why should there be an inquiry into conjecture? What's bizarre is how a spurious report from two media outlets (Globe & Mail, Global News), one seemingly based on hearsay from an anonymous source and self-proclaimed whistleblower (who likely breached her oath and code of conduct as a CSIS employee), is somehow being passed off as relevant and lapped up as factual despite a lack of evidence. The 2023 Wildcard Standings Thread
They won five in a row right after the Christmas break. They hit a rough spot in late January going into the all-star break/bye week. I'd say things really started to fall apart on that East Coast US road trip about a month ago, and then they returned home only to get pummeled by the Avs and Islanders in back-to-back games. That led to an ugly five-game skid and they've been basically .500 since (6-6-1), averaging 2.38 GPG while surrendering 3.15 GPG. The last month or so has been an utter disaster for the Jets. That's not it. https://moneypuck.com/goalies.htm

Game 75@ San Jose
I agree, though. I'd almost prefer they miss the playoffs again - especially considering they're projected to play VGK in the opening round (and the Jets couldn't even beat them earlier on when they were actually playing good hockey). Maybe if they miss the post-season, it will be the kick in the teeth TNSE needs to make some actual changes within the organization. It seems like complacency set in a while ago and some bad stuff has been allowed to fester as a result. I'm at a loss with how this season has cratered.

Game 75@ San Jose
I'm now cheering for these losers to not make the playoffs. In their last 15 games including last night, the Sharks are 2-9-4. Those two wins were over this ******* team. Losers.

Manitoba Politics
What's gross is that their support rose, seemingly from cutting a bunch of cheques and blaming the feds for Manitobans' woes. It's pretty pathetic.

Demski is a more versatile and can run some great gadget plays. Hard to compare him to Schaffer-Baker one-to-one, IMO.

Game 73 : @ Anaheim
Team defense has all but disappeared the last 15-20 games. I don't get it. Just take the two points and go. Adam Lowry has been on fire lately.
