I think Fleury plays the most significant role in their success. They are playing better as a team as of late, though.

And they're clearly wrong. Chiarelli and his piss poor roster management is the major issue, not the head coach. Besides, a head coach can only do so much with the pieces he's given. Management in Edmonton needs to do a better job.

Marginal (22 points vs. 19 points). I think the coaching change served as a wake-up call to the players and they then seemed to turn a corner, but then fell apart midway into last month. They're still only on pace for about 84 points, which isn't good.

At this point, it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot and see if they can build some chemistry. As for trading him, I can't see that happening. However, he needs to be better - much better - and I don't know if he's making a strong case for himself to get a lengthy contract and massive payday. That could play in the Jets' favour as far as the cap goes but if and how no doubt remains to be seen. All in all, this has been another strong season for the Jets - even despite them playing incomplete games more often than not. This recent slump is somewhat concerning, especially with the recent rash of injuries. But they're in a solid position in the standings and with a few improvements and more consistency, they should be able to hold on to top spot in the division.

Great win tonight! Scored a bunch of goals, played better in the defensive zone for the most part... Now to get a win streak going.
