it's kind of like "anyone but Hilary". There is a huge block of people who REFUSED to vote for Hilary- not only did they vote for ???- they voted instead for a self-proclaimed sexual assailant, racist, thin skinned, "I know nothing about polices" cheetoed-hued ******* man-baby. so yeah- you can answer the question now. A sack of wet kittens would do a better job at POTUS than trump.

it's slanted, sure (it's CNN and an opinion piece), but he does goes through shows what he agrees with and why- offers up facts that support why he agrees with Hewitt and then goes on and gives points as to why Hewitt is taking some liberties as to his assumption that Trump would be elected and hat it won't even be close... You should give it a read- it's a solid rebuttal.

cool- I will treat it as such.

It's an opinion piece from Hugh Hewitt- a conservative radio talk show host. It's a very slanted article. But yeah- he is totally entitled to his opinion, dude gets paid for that. I think he glosses over A LOT though and fails to acknowledge all that is working against trump in 2020.

he's not that bad. He does make a good argument about Mueller not challenging the "can not indict a sitting president" MOU? These are extreme times that call for more than the usual conservative approach. He did it in the Bill Maher dickish way, but that is pretty on-brand for him.

US Politics
So there is no such thing as corporate welfare?

US Politics
Oh yeah- as soon as they were entertaining the bail outs... I KNEW there would be bonuses and golden parachutes. I was totally against the bail out.
-
US Politics
I did- good movie.
-
US Politics
Yeah. I guess I should make the distinction between A) the bank institution b) the bank stockholders. Bail out the institutions- that helped the people. Leave the stockholders. Let em hang. I am still not convinced that it would have been crazy worse... I don't think people would have lost much more then they did after losing their homes.

What would i have done? Let them fail. That would be capitalism at work. They engage in capitalism and enrich themselves in that economic paradigm- then let them suffer the consequences, just like EVERYONE else. No excuse.
-
US Politics
No ****... corporate welfare is alive and well... After the mortgage crisis of the mid aughts- all those "too big to fail" corporations that received bail out after bail out after bail out made me (and suspect most people) crazy angry.

why does one have to stop for the other start? why can't individuals use the government as a resource to facilitate their own ends? why can't both work in tandem? I mean, isn't that how it is supposed to be? we elect them, and hold them accountable and they should be working for our interests. I fail to see the need for an "us vs them" mentality here.
