I hear that, but adding in that extra bye week pretty much make that impossible. 1st or 2nd Sunday in November is about the earliest we can shoot for.

The problem was that it wasn't the same field turf that most other combine and pro-day testing is done on, so you can't make apples-to-apples comparisons. Apparently it's similar to the stuff that is put in gyms and training centres, but there's a huge difference between pushing a sled or doing footwork exercises, and doing speed tests. Don't know if installation played a factor either, but I saw a lot of guys slipping while trying to do the 3-cone and shuttle drills.

I watched the OL guys do the 3-cone and shuttle up-close, and Sheply looked kinda 'small' standing around next to most of the others. Had to go back and double-check his weight, and it turned out he was right up there with the other guys at 305. He's definitely leaner and more muscular though, and his testing numbers compared to everyone but Korte show that.

I see that they're doing the 40 yard dash at the Convention Centre. Anyone know how they plan to do this? temporary turf? Run it on carpet? Seems strange to not do it at a field house with artificial turf.

No Bisons at the main combine is ridiculous. Sure, someone from the regional could get bumped up, but at least throw us a frickin bone...

Dave Vankoughnett's kid was the QB at Dakota this year, and may still be there next year too, so if you want to rub shoulders with the former Bomber, encourage him to go there. They've also got a defensive lineman who was on the Western Canada under 16 team this summer, and led the WHSFL in forced fumbles and was near the lead in sacks as well. I believe he's only in grade 10, so there will be some talent there for the next couple years.

Speaking of Gray, did anyone notice he made the list of one of the top eight academic student athletes in Canada for 2016/17? 4.43 GPA! He pretty much got all A+s except for the odd A that might have snuck in there. In Engineering no less. Wouldn't surprise me if he's got a grad school acceptance letter sitting on a shelf somewhere as well.

Regarding two National receivers, could we possibly see one of Coates/Wolitarsky starting, along with Demski? I know he hasn't really earned a big payday, but it would be great to see him here if the money is right.

These days in that area you're probably better off sleeping a little longer and then getting a bowl of pho for breakfast/lunch. Don't know if it's considered 'south' Pembina, but I like the new Stella's location.

Speaking of animated shows, I watched the first couple of episodes of Big Mouth on Netflix, and it's a pretty unfiltered take on puberty. If you like Nick Kroll's past stuff, you'll be a fan. P.S. Bob's Burgers is awesome.
