In case anyone needed more proof of what a class act Brady O. is, he came out to my son's U13 A3 hockey final today (he is neighbors with one of the boys on the team) to watch the game, give the kids a speech in the room at the end and hand out the player of the game award for us. The kids were absolutely pumped and I am sure are now Bombers fans for life.

It would be a bigger joke than Harrassment Kelly winning last year.

Given the rule that it’s not reviewable unless it’s called a turnover I think refs should just err on the side of caution if it’s close and just call it a turnover and let the CC get it right. It shouldn’t be about whether you’re “embarrassing” the refs, just about getting it right. I think most educated fans understand that close calls need replay and the refs are just human. Like they did in the first half of LDC where Zach had 218 yards!

Calgary has been bankrupt as many times as Toronto has in my life. They are the posterchild for why a club like Edmonton should have stayed community owned. Immediately when Calgary switched over it started.

Did I ever tell you about the time Rolan Milligan took me out to go get a drink with him? We go off looking for a bar and we can't find one. Finally Milligan takes me to a vacant lot and says, 'Here we are.' We sat there for a year and a half and sure enough someone constructs a bar around us. The day they opened we ordered a shot, drank it, and then burned the place to the ground. Milligan yelled over the roar of the flames, 'Always leave things the way you found 'em!'

That is exactly right. Living here, I have friends who have Stamps season tickets. They all said that they're done & won't be renewing. They feel betrayed with what happened & aren't coming back. These are older fans who have been season ticket holders all for over 30 years. They don't feel appreciated anymore. They'll never be back. Younger fans just don't give a damn. Apathetic fanbase. They're now going to follow their favourite NFL team. A lot of Seahawk fans are Calgarians. I assume that is where they'll now spend their money for their football fix. Everybody knows Edwards bought the Stamps as a tax write off. He puts no money into the team, free agents or facilities. We just go from one problem team to another. Ambrosie telling us we have strong ownership is a farce. Calgary is the next tire fire. Way to go CSEC & Murray Edwards. Well done. What a bunch of fools.

Pretty sure Biggie won't be any part of the equation in 2025 timeline wise...I see him being 2025 version of 2023 Mike Miller Ayers...Jones...and Cole should have every chance to vye for the starters spots and rotational guy....that being said I'd like to see us bring in the numbers like we have for DB's before...and WR's.....we need to re-stock the team with viable legit A-1 starting talent that make an impact...not just fill a role Not sure who will be available be available in FA either...but if there is a top tier impact gy...we should be all over it Schoen will be re-signed and off the books for a good 6-8 games, so the savings there can easily be slid to an impact defender

Is it actually a rule though? From their own press release in August, the CFL says the CC can overturn a call that was clearly and obviously wrong. I thought this one was pretty clear that it was an interception and a quick review would have shown that. I think part of the problem (at least this season) is they decided mid-season to change how the CC is supposed to work. Kind of hilarious how McNeil brushes off Dickenson wearing so many hats as "leaning on personnel department" during the season. Personnel department is two people in Calgary. You need GM to do a fair amount of scouting work in this league in this era.

Just as a man-on-the-street report from here, we've actually experienced most of our support growth (attendance was up 20% last year and 5% this year) among youngsters. In fact, the last few years, you can't find any youth football events around the GTA that the Argos haven't been involved in. It's a long slog to grow a generation of supporters, but it's fun to see so many kids and youths in BMO. That's reason 1 why I don't want Pinball as commish. We need the continuity, particularly with the recent shift in MLSE ownership share.

Leake is 5 years younger though... although that is the kind of thinking that got the Bombers into the mess in the first place 😆
