Gotta say, that change at right guard was overdue and effective. And I think a solid American at guard is a great way to maximize the ratio benefits that Brady O gives us.

Stars- Everyone on D. Game planning on both sides. Castillo. HH Randolph, first CFL game and clearly an improvement over Neufeld. Played aggressive in the run game and brought the line play up as a whole,

That was so clutch for someone who likely isn't on the hands team Reminds me off when we put Bond in at RG in 2017 or 18 I believe and it changed the line. I think Randolph had one illegal procedure and I didn't see him get beat. What a great first start.

The changes tho needed...were only due to injury...If guys weren't hurt...they wouldn't have been made....Thats the osh way/mentality and it's hurt us Randolph made a huge impact...Lofton was much better and the fact Randolph is very mobile and active...and can get out and find guys to move/block and switch up what he's doing allowed Lofton to focus on what he needed to do. Now if Osh can get over his tendency to just roster guys he likes....and Swap out the center...we may have instantly made a questionable Oline into a solid...and nasty one Same with defence...It pretty apparent that sets with Thomas...and ones without him were night and day...Look at Adams sack...pressured the QB out of the pocket...into more pressure...stopped...changed direction and then came back and made the sack from behind...We need more of that snap wise. Garbutt and WJ working real well together and he's getting his game legs now....he just goes and goes and was causing a lot of disruption....and it's no coincidence WJ had his best game of the yr with less thomas/schmeck...and heavier Woods/Adams and Garbutt getting in a groove...If we just plopped Thomas on the IRPR and added another Canadian elsewhere we would be so much better off...The fact too Haba is on the 1 game and not re-upped on the 6 game is also interesting....Imagine adding him to the mix BA has quietly strung some games together...and interesting on ZC commenting that BA has been playing through something this yr...maybe he finally coming back to full health Still think Case is pointless...especially with Lucky here who adds something and seemed to give the whole unit a lift....Add Smith back as an extra weapon....Swap out Johnson with Lawler when he ready and going with Lawler..Woli..Demski..Lucky..Wilson and Clercius, and having BO...Smith and JA on the roster we will be looking pretty good....Even let Murphy get some roster time in Jakes spot....see if he has a future here, and he plays cover teams Gotta hand it to Biggie too....he didnt stand out for the wrong reasons last night....was that due tothe dline gettig after it?...who knows but he was solid

I can't pick 3 stars. Our secondary is incredible - Bonds, Nichols, Holm, and Ford were all awesome all night and they have been mostly all season. Best secondary in the league, easily. Thank god for Pokey Wilson... our offence would be truly screwed without him. Kendall Randolph - welcome to your new permanent home on the starting OL Brady Oliveira - It seems like he is getting stronger by the game. Running hard and fast and violent. Happy Honker to Zach Collaros for doing exactly what he needed to do to win this game. No stupid throws into coverage, and that run for a first down was a thing of beauty - haven't seen that side of Collaros in quite some time. 3-6 is a tough first half of the season but heading into the bye with guys starting to get healthy and everyone feeling great about their game... we're on an upward trajectory and the forecast is suddenly looking a lot sunnier.

I can’t imagine our D playing better

Yeah it'll be Wilson unless he gets hurt or falls off a cliff.... too visible and too good an opportunity with the other top guys hurt to put up big numbers. I'll create a coming out of absolutely nowhere to be an impactful rookie award to give to Hubert though. Throw away draft pick becomes a solid rotational piece. You love to see it.

I think it was for no yards for 15, until they confirmed that the loins player (Mcginnus?) was lined up behind the kicker to make him eligible for an onside kick and no penalty was awarded.

Prediction: VAJ comes back "early" from his injury, shows no signs of it while running, but makes sure to walk with an obvious limp between plays, so we can all observe the heroism of the heroic stuff the hero is doing. Sorry, I find the guy annoying.

D was a revelation. We even got some real QB pressure. Great to see. Saw a lot of really good linebacker play as well including Michael Griffin mucking it up inside the tackle box. Maybe the biggest game from our offensive line today once they got established. Zach was dropping back and felt comfortable in the pocket. Lucky - he's not leaving the lineup. He didn't play the majority of snaps but he made a big impact anyways. For a smaller guy he is exceptional at getting extra yards while a guy is trying to tackle him. You really see his veteran savvy.

I love dominant defense so much more than dominant offense.

3 tweaks...Punter...Center....Thomas use.....and switch back the returner...we do that and allow the defensive front to rotate and play like they did...then I am fine with Kramdi staying put if it allows us to keep Randolph on the oline...

Loved the way Kendall Randolph played on the edge and nasty. A lot of guys look tentative in their first start. Not him. Saw him a couple times mauling past the whistle and generally irritating the BC D-lineman. Keep it going young man. Love it.

Some good coaching decisions were made this week - and the players responded.

Yeah since we justifiably rip on a lot of the roster management and coaching decisions, we have to give credit when it’s due. Randolph at guard, using 8 Canadians instead of 11, getting Lucky on. All good decisions. I’d hope moving forward it doesn’t take 2 awful losses and injuries to get them making the right choices

Yup Bailey takes Johnsons spot and does everything better. Would help a ton. Lucky I think added a calming influence to the O. Needed that shot of experience.

Interesting...but not surprising on ZC comment on Lucky TD how it was 100 percent due to a vet receiver doing a specific thing to make that score...and also something they hadn't even ran thru in practice...he just knew...that's what we needed on offence...and something the QB can rely on I would also like Bailey in too for those exact same things...and what he also brings in run game...sweeps...screens...let Johnson learn and marinate a yr..

Most promising game this season I think. Everyone on defense should take a bow. Younger has them locked in. DL looked good. Secondary was in tight coverage too. Think Buck intentionally tried to rein in Collaros' love of deep balls and it paid off. Did a good job getting the ball to his playmakers. Lucky is never going to be a stud receiver but he was a needed jolt. An actual speed receiver. Some of our new ones seem like they're going fast but then you see Lucky and there is a difference. Mike Miller and the ST are pretty solid but Sheahan is still a problem.
