The big thing is with the way D's are collapsing on Oliviera, Zach has to call back to his Cincinnati and early pro days with some zone reads, pull the ball out and take the free first down, obviously don't be overly risky on taking hits. You send everyone vertical and run a Zone Read to Brady...easy yards. Then you have those boot passes they always run, those are a little more dangerous vs Montreal with the zone blitz stuff. To me this is a game where it's really run and vertical passing for the offense, depending on conditions, you saw in the WF that neither team could really consistently pass because of how difficult it was to grip the ball in that damp cold right around the freezing mark. If you need to grind out points that's fine because Montreal's O has no chance of getting them a big lead, but their D can.

Honestly bighill barely has the speed at the best of times, if he's at all slowed by an injury it's better for the team to sit him out.

yeah BC took it away....and we had a hampered receiving group so we did bare minimum as to not inflict more injuries...and why run BO into a huge mass of bodies and risk him hurt for Grey Cup....I think we knew our defence had it in the bag...so we played it safe and put it in their hands...thats what I saw

Clements looks a lot more comfortable in the middle than he did at WIL. I'd say if your LB crew was Wilson, Cole, Clements in those two spots you'd be in pretty good shape. Yeah they planned for Parker to smack the ball right to McInnis.😂

I will not invite bad juju onto this team by suggesting this will be an easy win - it won't be. Noel Thorpe has that defence playing at an extremely high level and, as many have already noted, playing at this time of year is all about momentum and confidence. Montreal has that in spades coming off their win in Toronto. I think this game is going to be closer than people think. Likely low(er) scoring. It's going to be about which offence protects the ball (or conversely, which team capitalizes on offensive miscues).

Rewatched the game last night. I had my 2 year old with me on Saturday and missed a lot of plays. 1. Jeffcoat/Willie Just controlled demolition. Watch BC’s tackle #69, they made him look silly. I was actually laughing out loud multiple times. 2. The 17 Linebackers.- I’ve been ripping on that all year. Every one of them played masterfully. Even Gauthier’s RTP was kind of cathartic. Adams deserved it, he’s a cheap shot artist. 3. Brady. 70 yard drive to kill their morale right out of the gate. Happy Honker to Houston for a very timely pick, for all intents and purposes it put the game to bed.

Glad I'm not the only one. I was really sour about it. And then the run game getting shut down... I was chapped the OL wasn't doing more. As Booch mentioned in another thread, they had so little creativity offensively... No jet sweeps, almost no play action. I get they were trying to take manage and just not turn it over, but jeeze that was frustrating to watch. Thank goodness that D was incredible.

We only had one opportunity to measure Toronto and winnipeg against each other and winnipeg won... by far my ass. I hope mouths keep getting run. This bomber team have done something Toronto failed, they have proven that they know how to win.

JA took a few 1st down snaps an BO came right back in...I dont think it was an injury issue Part of the weird passing I think too was that we didn't use any jet sweep action or receiver motion out of backfield for carries or fake carries to open up the BC defence...was it to preserve Bailey and Demski from any unnecessary extra hits...so they be even healthier if we moved on?? I thinking so Also ZC I think at times tends to get tunnel vision and focus too much on one guy...there were several occasions BOLO was free and clear and he just didn't even bother to toss to him...one instance that sticks out was that one scramble I think where he slid just shy of the l.o.s...BOLO was wide open in the middle and could have walked in if ZC had looked there

I get it, he was overly confident about his Argos and it really didn't work out, but a thread dedicated to a fellow MBB poster on these forums to **** all over them... Montreal was on a win streak and playing unbeatable defence the last time we played them. And look what happened. I really hope Scheon can play. I think they were stacking the box pretty hard in the second half.

It just goes to show how difficult it is to do what we have done the last five years (yes I am including the 2018 West Final loss because other people seem to forget it). The last few years we have wrapped up first with weeks to go and still got to the Cup. If we had a 2020 season we would probably be talking about our 6th straight West Final and our 5th straight Grey Cup.

Conversely our D has absolutely feasted on the als offense... like to the tune of giving up 3 points in each game... and in the most recent one where collaros threw the 2 pick sixes the Bombers still dropped over 40 points on them.

Rewatching the game. TSN is bad at their job. - Started off saying it was Winnipeg's 4th straight Western Final (it was their 5th) - Graphic showed Dru Brown in the starting secondary. - Had the score at 19-3 at one point (it was 18) - Suitor going on about how Zach set his feet to make a nice throw across the middle, despite the video showing him literally leaping and throwing in the air. Not even at half time yet.

Couple years ago I bumped into Adam Bighill at the airport. He had a giant suitcase/trunk with him. He said he was taking the Grey Cup up to some of the First Nations communities in Northern Manitoba, to talk to the kids about sports, football and what it's like to play for the Blue Bombers. I'm sure his team-mates will be playing for each other but especially for him next Sunday.

Yup. I was bitter when he left and what he said when leaving. But the Bombers did the right thing and at the time I don’t think he fully understood that. We may have never seen what Brady O could do had he stayed. He ended up with one more ring in the end. Good on him.

Yup done done. Should have been done last year but I think he held out for one more ring. The only ring he will get now is the Ring of Honour at IGF.

The end of half Hail Mary cheesed me for the rest of the game. It seems so gawd damned lucky. Turns out, ESPN stats reports that an NFL chance of a successful Hail Mary is 9.7%. Cougar stats reports that Hail Mary’s are intercepted 19% of the time - which is 8 times more frequent than a Hail Mary Touchdown. Lions got their points by luck, and that’s it - luck.

In my twenties, the bombers lost everything. Every game in Regina. I repeat we didn't win a game in Regina when I was in my twenties. That **** hurts. We lost multiple grey cups. Saw Stegall retire without a ring. 6 different head coaches. No hope in sight. In my thirties, one head coach. 4 consecutive grey cup appearances, hopefully 3 wins after next weekend. Wins in Regina. 100% this is special and it's been a hell of a ride that isn't over yet
