Maybe the Riders think Labour Day is the Grey Cup game as they take the season off after that game. As Dave Naylor pointed out - Riders are 0-13 after Sept 4 the past 2 seasons.

Nothing wrong with having high standards and the critique is warranted. I think most people agree that the roster management is a head scratcher and where the lack of concensus seems to be is to what end this problem may bring.

After watching last night's Bills-Giants game where a noncall PI ended the game. I think that CFL has done well with its review system. While they might not get every call right they have built-in ability through coaches' challenges to look at game-changing plays like PI, holding & blocking calls on returns, and roughing the passer calls. Also, have limited challenges so as to not bog down the game.

The Argos were certainly dealt an amazing hand schedule-wise. There's 3 contending teams in the league including them. They had two games in that bracket, home vs BC, here late September when it already didn't matter for them. Didn't play great in Alberta but hardly had to play the West. Guess luckily for them they won't have leave the (extended) GTA once they get out of Sask.

I don't come on here nearly as much as I used to because I find the negativity crazy. I just wanted to pop in on a bye week to remind everyone we're the only team in the league with a winning record the last 4 seasons. 3 grey cup appearances and 2 wins in the last 3. It's ok to just enjoy the ride despite the flaws. We had years on end of awful teams and coaches to complain about. Despite not being perfect, since 2019 this is the best franchise in the CFL. A few years ago it was a dream just to see a grey cup win, the idea that Winnipeg would become the top team in the league for years, unheard of. Enjoy it. Enjoy Saskatchewan losing every game. Enjoy Calgary trying to just scrape into the playoffs. Just enjoy it

There were definitely a few times when he was actively "cheering" on the Lions. Can't stand Neilson, either. TSN is just hot garbage most of the time. I wish I could get the audio with CJOB timed up. I would rather listen to DT call plays than anyone on the TSN of CFL. Smith is still okay.

I am positive that most of the negativity around here is a direct result of the perceived negative management of the roster and I am also positive of that we all want positive outcomes despite the negative vibe at times.

Same I love his energy in the booth. It’d be well worth him going through a media course and refining his colour skills. I actually love Paul in the booth even more too. If we had either blm Matt or Paul in the booth doing colour for every game that’d be fantastic. With Paul being on the panel when not in the booth. Scianatti as host would be soo much better.

got both done this morning... C19 Booster in the left and Flu Shot in the right... feeling a bit sore in both arms right now, but otherwise great. Couple weeks for it to take full effect, but I'm glad to have some protection as the nasty season hits us...

He's fine until he gets excited. Then it's just weird and awkward imo. I dunno, act like you've done it before type of thing. You'll never hear any other announcer in any sport get THAT excited about something, especially when it happens regularly (Like a long TD pass).

I think it will be one of the better coaching jobs if Dinnwiddie can keep his guys focused and they come out on Nov 11th and win. It's pretty unprecedented having no must-win games for almost 2 months then expect them to flip the switch on.

A regression that severe is not possible for our team. The Riders just have too much practice being incompetent and we are just too damn good of an organization to ever become that Mickey Mouse. I said a dozen games ago, that if the roster management of the bottom of our lineup is our biggest complaint then we will have a very good season. Of all the usual suspects the average fan whines about, that is bottom tier stuff in the big picture. Inconsistency has me a heck of a lot more worried than roster management ever will but with our vets we have I just don't see them not turning that switch come playoffs.

The media is so dumb around that game. The entire week(s) leading up to it..."Anything can happen at labour day" "No matter the record, everyone is on even playing field that weekend!" "The riders STILL have a chance, cause it's labour day".....Riders barley pull off a win, "Riders are Grey Cup contenders after beating the Bombers!!" So is labour day a one off fluke of a game that doesn't really tell the season tale? Or not? you can't have it both ways!

The riders are exactly what we knew they would be when Jones ditched and the only one available to take the job was Dickie.... An absolute tire fire. We knew 19 was a fluke and they came crashing down to reality. It's fabulous stuff.
