Never seen a guy able to go from not moving to going full speed like that guy. And as said above, one tough dude too. He broke tackles, he fought and scraped for yards, and a solid receiving back too. As much as I am supremely disappointed by his 07 grey cup performance, Charles Roberts was an all time type player who I don't think gets talked about enough as such.

Brady O episode of Handled Internally.... They mentioned how he ran into Harris when he was in high school, and Harris told him he'd (Brady) eventually break all of his (Harris) records one day. Cameron says "funny thing, Andrew had the exact same conversation with Charles Roberts when he was really young ...of course it was at The Palamino, but still...." I chuckled.... No surprises there.

There was nothing quite like watching Charlie dissappear into a pile, only to miraculously appear on the other side. I can still hear the stadium announcer. "Chaaaaarles Rooooooberts!!!"

He’s the greatest natural football talent I’ve ever seen. 5’6 171 the dynamic change of direction speed was insane, the ability to instantly be at his top speed unreal, but the strength and toughness he possessed was truly freakish. Like grant now, he was just soo hard to take down once you did get a hand on him. He fumbled soo much the first two years just because he would fight to the death for a chance to get a few more inches. It was common place to see him bounce off and fight off tackles from macs and dl. It was also especially hilarious when mike sellers would use him like a battering ram in pass pro at times lol.

I was at the game, in the stands behind the bench 10 rows up. I watched him closely. Schoen was definitely nursing a "lower body" ouch when he came out of the game. He was mobile and walking on the sidelines, trying to keep the weight off and testing things - walking & trotting a little. I won't say any more than that, other than to venture that he would not have been effective had he gone back onto the field of play. Hopefully everyone is all healed up after the bye-week. The atmosphere during the game was amazing, by the way. Boisterous supportive crowd of Big Blue fans behind the Bombers bench. All the Bomber players noticed and definitely appreciated that support from the fans. Post-game victory chants echoed through BC Place for a long time as Bomber fans (lots of them) celebrated that exciting and important win!

I would love if the Riders fluke a playoff win against BC and we send give the rider fans another year of frozen tears.

Just beat the Elks on the 21st, let all of us in attendance celebrate clinching 1st and hopefully get Demski the 21 yards he needs for 1000 on the year.

Charlie was my favourite player.. very seldomly do you see a player that can't be replicated in history. He was one of a kind

If holm takes the next step next year he is gonna be special. He makes boneheaded plays some times and just misses making a great play. But he’s got such a great instinct and reactive ability to make plays. It’s some thing you can’t teach. Combine that with elite athleticism and a clear love of playing and you have a great young dude. He isn’t Alford, but those are few and far between. Some guys gotta work more for it as a pro. I look forward to seeing what he does next year. One of the few guys playing for us who has his best football infront of him.

If we clinch at home...can't ask for a better set up...and hopefully all our starters dress....get a few reps in last game....but allow others more reps...letting some pr guys get reps in a game that won't factor in save for guys like Haba..Fox...Lawrence would be pointless...

If the Riders keep playing that poorly, anything could happen. Agreed on the Stamps - they have much better coaching and could make some noise...QB is a liability though. It'll be interesting to see whether or not the Argos take their foot off the gas. I think the Ticats will make the east final and could give them some solid competition.

We should take care of business when the Elks come here to wrap up 1st place. Close the door on CGY... They are much scarier in my opinion than anything SSK can muster

When his marriage went south ..was beginning of end....he also was gonna be a corner man for one my guys who was doing MMA here....but got shipped away before he could...he was a great guy but ended up with some serious demons...he if put in the effort would have easily been all time top rusher

Bombers find themselves in a great position heading into the playoffs. Bye week followed by two games followed by a bye week (as long as we clinch). They'll get their rest but not too much rest.

If we finish of the Elks at home....and cgy spanks em next week...we could conceivably put out a B team and gift wrap the opportunity to CGy...sadly 2 straight non playoff appearances likely spells end to the clown show staff there...but an overhaul next year likely still has them in 5th place...there is next to no core there to build around player wise..and just see too much quit and no care selfish attitude there with bulk of them...I wouldn't want many carry over guys from that squad

I get mad when refs mess up on the field in the heat of the action but I understand it. I get furious when the command centre that has time and slow motion replays don’t correct the errors when challenged. Kramdi did not interfere in the end zone. That was a BS call that should have been over turned but based on the refs positioning I can see making the call in the first place.

Apparent roster management issues aside, we can all agree that O’Shea knows a thing or two about it being a long season… and every campaign is an effort in building toward the ultimate vision and mindset for his team. As quoted in bluebombers.com “This is an emotional win in an emotional game. They realized this is who they can be.
