At the risk of sounding like an old man yelling at a cloud ( I'm only 30 ) What the he'll is up with everyone here lately? Everyone seems so ****** grumpy and shitty to each other. It's a football forum! We're 10-3 and been to 3 gcs in a row. And several people here just nit picking at each other. Not healthy debate either, just petty **** -- maybe I'm on my own here but it seems as I lurk lately mbb is losing some of its magic. I only speak for myself but it keeps me away from contributing, I feel others probably too

Hopefully haba plays well enough they can't take him out. Jackson might wear a lotnof hats but he doesn't excel at any of them. You can get away with that as a bottom of the depth chart Canadian but not an American.

And let's be totally honest with respect to Jackson - for all his grit and versatility he's not particularly good at any one job. I like the story but if we're hanging our hats on his "blocking ability" or "defensive utility" then we are simply wasting a spot on game day that could go toward a player that can have a greater impact overall.

Why wouldn't we raid other teams PRs if it's so easy and ours is so bad? We are the best team in the league with the best coach in the league, you'd think PR players would be jumping ship in droves. Or, more likely, it's not actually that easy and our PR is as good (or bad) as anyone else's.

James Butler is also a game time decision as he's missed or been limited in practice all week

yeah he was the corner stone for sure...then we got a vet guard in Neuf to help with the immediate inserting of the Chunghs and Goosens and Desjarlais followed up with the easing in of the Coutures, Grays and and soon to be Dobson and Eli....perfect oline building and forward looking progressions....which is highly likely we go after he best O-line guy this draft, to keep the process moving along....as I am sure 1 vet next yr will be gone....and if we win the Cup likely 2 as I can see Bryant going out on top....but then again....if he still playing at high level...why would he quit? Maybe next yr we can DA Richmond as opposed to Jackson lol...especially if we can bring Bennet and Kongbo back home, then we only need one DA spot for Haba

Everyone keeps saying Jackson is useless, but I sure see his number a ton as Brady runs through a hole he is helping to create. Maybe anybody could do what he does, I don't know, but useless seems harsh.

should have put kelly on..he was real good on special teams so would serve some use...Schmeckly doesnt, and his reps on defence will be un-inspiring...and really...we havnt dressed any extra dlineman all yr...so why now with a crappy one....All Osh said in presser is worked hard in his role...and is learning to be a pro, basically thats it....as he wears his RCAF hat....surprised he took off Jacksons undies he usually has wrapped around his head haha yeah u would have to have them on active roster...we cant get some of our better ones on now in lieu of sub par ones as it is...so why would we roster another teams non rostered guys....we have top notch starters across the board and thats what is carryings us so well....after that she slim pickin's save for about 5 bodies

It had nothing to do with someone trying to pluck Haba is all I'm saying. I would bet money that with Jeffcoat dinged, they just wanted to give him a rest day and let Haba get some reps. That I'm on board with... but it has nothing to do with some other team trying to steal him away. The vibe I'm getting from a lot of you is that Jeffcoat was good enough to play, but they needed to get Haba on the roster to keep him from jumping ship, so they sat Jeffcoat to do it...... there's just no way that's true. If Jeffcoat was healthy and needed this weekend, they would be playing him and Haba would continue to be on the PR, as with last week. There's no conspiracy... I'm guessing just a rest week for Jeffcoat, and nothing more.

I'd rather Jackson not be on roster next yr, as if he is on for that role again...thats an epic fail by scouting and coaching. I don't think at 32 next year that his upside is worth the developmental reps....his spot will be better served with a legit young prospect who will give good value in 2024, and even better impactful value in 2025 grey cup run at home That's another thing that makes this whole thing more baffling and pointless, it's not like he is a young guy who has a huge ceiling, and has a lot of yrs ahead of him....he is a raw 31 yr old rookie....

Completely agree. After a rough start our defence has been excellent too. I am not seeing it either. I see a team that has had more mental lapses than past years, but that's not a talent issue. Guys are taking a single issue, that has existed through our entire Grey Cup runs, and for some reason have decided this year is different. This year it's important and our team is not as good. I call BS on that. I don't like Osh's roster management any more than the next guy but he has proven he can win Grey Cups despite this short coming that has been happening for years, and he always somehow comes around to fixing late in the season. Puhlease....stop it with that crap. Jeffcoat and our defence barely saw the field last game. If you are trying to blame an injury in the DL trenches last week on roster management you are taking it too far. Our guys barely broke a sweat.

I would be shocked to see the Seal come off at this point.

I am hoping we don't see a letdown like our game there last season. Hoping the offense is clicking like it did last week, or the BC game or the Montreal game. Hoping we get Habba on due to the reports on Jeffcoat.

To comment on us not making upgrades after blowing out the Riders... Walter's has shown willingness in the past to upgrade the roster at the trade deadline if he deems fit. Last year I believe he went after Lawler and would have had him barring injury. I think Walter's knows what's best for this team, and he'll make a move if he deems necessary In Walter's we trust..

Schmekel is a complete waste of a roster spot. If we didn't invest draft capital in him this year (ie. if we had picked him up as a free agent) he likely wouldn't be with the team any longer.

I sense a Haba appearance....with Murphy off I think maybe we see Burtenshaw back, and Haba for the Seal.....and with Clements in already for Mcrae, and Parker as extra defender, and returner that this may be our go to for the yr until Grant, Hansen and Miller get back, or some unforseen signing
