This is what frustrates me the most. People are going to say I’m overreacting, it’s just Saskatchewan, whatever. All of that might be true but I’m not worried about the result. I’m frustrated by the process. There’s absolutely no realistic way that anyone can tell me with a straight face that replacing our all-star edge rusher with a guy we signed off the street 4 days ago who plays an entirely different position is what our staff drew up as a solid plan. Oldest defence in the league and we’re using our extra American spots on a ******* fullback, kicker and defensive tackle. Ridiculous.

Definitely a bit concerned about our ST coverage with Miller out and Briggs admitting that the punt block was his fault because normally Miller is in charge and he didn't get everyone ready. Hopefully all that is cleaned up...

And the bigger problem is the "no stadium" piece is the same in many markets and the "no ownership piece" tends to be cyclical as well. The league needs to start worrying about Calgary. Montreal is a mess and likely unsustainable without some kind of long-term stadium solution. 10 teams is a pipe dream IMO.

The stats thing is egregious especially if the league is looking at gambling as a significant source of revenue.

That's where we are stupid thin in my opinion. There are a bunch of American cuts floating around to the point where if we need a body we can slam one in to be adequate, but on the Canadian side we've become very very thin. And not for starters, for the last third of the roster guys.

If it was the O.C dumbbumb should have said no to that regardless...what a stupid thing to do, and way to likely hoop yourself for a while now, as more beatings whenever he gets back on the field in that craptacular offence is just gonna keep re-aggravating it I wish he was playing tho so we don't have to put up with the excuses, but we would have anyway one way or another...Unless we make a buttload of boneheaded plays, have a couple fluke TD's against like against the Cats, I don't even see this being close to be honest....I just hope if we get up early...we don't coast, but keep the foot to the throat and see how any points we can rack up....As we seen all to recently how a 30 something to 4 game can turn into a 1 score game in a heartbeat
  19. Does anyone remember the poster from nearly two decades ago who was everywhere on CFL forums. He was from Vancouver. He was severely injured in a bar fight well over a decade ago when a gay bashing patron thought he touched him & he sucker punched the guy from behind. He fell backwards & cracked his skull in the floor causing a severe brain injury. He was confined to a wheelchair from that point on & was no longer able to do anything on his own. He eventually succumbed to his injuries & the guy who hit him got jail time. My understanding was that he was a successful investment broker in Vancouver when he was injured. He loved the Lions first & the CFL second. His name was Rich & he went by that same name online. He loved his Bombay bourbon. He could be a pain in the ass at times when he was sucking back his favourite beveredge & had a bit too many but was also a nice guy when sober. I miss him. Rest In Peace, Rich. KBF, do you remember him? Sorry, not sorry.

Meanwhile, good things happen when you vote for progressives. Minnesota is THE prime example (and project a $17.5 Billion surplus to boot): "Minnesota Democrats entered this year’s legislative session in a similar situation. Last fall, they won control of the state’s executive branch, House and Senate — a legislative “trifecta” — but with only a one-seat majority in the upper chamber. The results were much different: The party accomplished a generation’s worth of liberal reforms in just four months, vaulting the state to the forefront of progressive policymaking. Minnesota now offers 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave, the opportunity for any resident to buy into Medicaid, free public college tuition for low- and middle-income families, a new child tax credit for those families, free breakfast and lunch for all public school students, driver’s licenses for all residents regardless of their immigration status, and stronger protections for workers seeking to unionize. Take a deep breath — there’s more coming. Middle-class seniors will no longer have to pay state income taxes on Social Security benefits. A law immediately restoring the voting rights of felons who have completed their prison sentences expanded the franchise to 55,000 more people. Minnesotans serving life behind bars for crimes they committed as minors are now eligible for supervised release 15 years into their sentence. Suspending gun permits for people experiencing a mental health crisis got easier. Recreational marijuana is legal. A new state law protects abortion rights. A “trans refuge” law shields transgender children who travel to Minnesota for medical transitions from legal repercussions in their home states. And Minnesota has set a goal of moving to 100% carbon-free energy by 2040. The no-holds-barred progressive lawmaking spree was even enough to get a Twitter shoutout from former President Barack Obama, who called it a “reminder that elections have consequences.” Leaders of Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, as the state’s Democratic Party is known, have taken to calling the flurry of legislative activity the “Minnesota Miracle 2.0.” Originally, “Minnesota Miracle” was a nickname given to reforms enacted in the early 1970s by then-Gov. Wendell “Wendy” Anderson (DFL) and liberal Republicans in the Legislature, which increased funding for public schools by raising state income taxes and reducing the education system’s reliance on regressive property taxes. I bet MBB's favorites with an Argo win as a 4 game parlay, then MBB's favorites with an Argo loss as a parlay. I win one of them about 50% of the time and that covers the losses... and in the event that the Boatmen lose, the winning ticket may assuage my sore feelings. Not getting rich off of it, but I ended up on the year in 2022.

Yeah ...hate to go on and complain about what I...and a few others brought up before first game, but like really?...wtf is Osh doing/thinking....we knew Jeffcoat was iffy....so dont keep say Sterling on the PR...for this exact scenario....I like the Fox signing mind you dont get me wrong, but we basically have 1 experienced end on the rooster now (Willie)...rookie Bennett who has showed absolutely nothing, and Haba...who is gonna be good, but is a raw rookie and next to zero experience trotting out there tomorrow...where is the Logic in that? To maybe help off-set that over-sight Osh could declare Willie as a Nationalized Canadian and have him,,,Haba...Fox and Walker all o the field for 23 reps....which would do us more use against a Rider team who is gonna lean heavy on the run then likely many many sets of Willie and Haba...sometime Bennett and one of Thomas and Scmeckle....piss poor game planning from the stubborness to utilize a new rue....But will Use it on Grant to come in...and the majority of the times he did come in...was for Agudosi....like really??? And why even declare Thomas a Back up olineman...when we are gonna dress that Szottz dude who likely wont see the field...again....and if Jake is actually the defacto 7th guy in god forbid 2 starters going down...then what the eff is he even rostered for???....Seeing as we missing Miller and Cole on ST's...Dress Karamoka instead, as he takes regukar reps on teams and is good at it, and can come in as a DB if again...god help us one the starters goes down, and we have to shuffle 4 guys around to accomodate that....it's truly almost pathetic....And I dont even wanna hear the bs "so and so is getting a game cheque cause he trying hard in practice"....for real...If that the case I gonna walk on and try super extra hard to get me one of those...I garuantee I'd be of more use than an 8th olineman who in all actuality prob could leave his helmet in his locker and it not even be an issue for him. No knock on Jackson either...dude balls out and does his job well....but Our receivers are excellent blockers...as noted...most are bigger than Miller...I sure BOLO ..Woli..Augustine can handle the blocking role for a game or two and allow us to say put Mouhamed or Swarmay on the roster....but if Osh was gonna sit Jackson to do that, he'd prob dress Ivy as another oline guy...just in case Just not sure how so many here dont see...and or are concerned qith Osh's serious flaw/over sight...sure we winning....have 2 cups...yadda yadda....but thats more of an after affect of a solid core of guys....and a lil lady luck, moreso than his awesome roster management

What does that even mean? What cost? The cost of a minimum salary rookie? Nobody is saying go get Lemon as the end all be all. We’re saying put a ******* edge rusher on the practice roster in place of one of the redundant 36 global so we’re actually prepared.

based on what I saw on Sunday, nothing about the Riders (healthy Harris or no) worries me. That team had trouble putting up 17 on the LOLK's..... the Bombers team from last Friday, with a chip from watching the film of the 3rd Q bumbling, will obliterate the Riders, with or without Trevor Harris. There's every reason to believe this game will be a Molly Whopping....... if it was in Winnipeg, I'd almost guarantee a repeat of last year's Banjo Bowl.

  42. no he doesnt...DA is basically the new term for DI... But if coach was smart, and not so stubborn in trying to prove his point....whatever it may be he could declare one of Willie..Biggie..Darby...BA...Nichols as the nationlized guy and truly make the defense more formidable...but he wont...just watch...one of Willie or Haba now is gonna get dinged or hurt as they will be bagged out from basically playing all game....and then we are really effd
