As we get ready for the start of the 2022 CFL season, here's a video compilation of Bomber highlights from last year's phenomenal kick-ass season! This is my first attempt at a sports video. Hope you enjoy!

  3. I’ll just wish him best of luck. Glad he was a Bomber. In fact, he is still very much respected in the city, he’s around at Jet games, concerts, he’s still treated well.

First game of the year is always a bit of a dog's breakfast, as everyone tries to get in sync. Just give me a check mark in the W column and the 2pts and I'm good. Doesn't have to be pretty.

How's this for weird trivia? The last time the Redblacks scored a touchdown at IGF was Aug 17, 2018. The two top recievers for each team in that game (WPG - Adams, OTT - Ellingson) now play for the opposite team.

Tait: Ellingson https://www.bluebombers.com/2022/06/06/im-loving-it-here-ellingson-settling-in/ "He’s big. That’s one of the things,” O’Shea said. “Until you stand beside him… I remember standing beside him and Brad Sinopoli years ago (when he and Ellingson were teammates in Ottawa) and going, ‘Look at these two guys.’ Then you forget and then he comes into the building and you go ‘Yup, that’s right. He’s big. Really big.’ Other than that, one of the things I’ve really enjoyed so far is just talking the game with him. He reminds me of Weston.”" yeah baby! how many head coaches sit around an talk football with players? maybe lots do, dont actually know. Tait is very good.

Lions is such good news "Doman wants to see more young fans at games this season and has worked with BC Place to make concessions more affordable. He indicated that a kids meal including a hot dog, chips, and a drink can now be purchased for $10. The crowd on Saturday will also be treated to a performance by OneRepublic, whose song “I Ain’t Worried” is climbing the charts after being featured in the hit film Top Gun: Maverick. “There are so many bands touring right now it’s hard to get an A-list band because everyone’s back out after the COVID thing,” said Doman. “We are so fortunate to get OneRepublic and everybody’s extremely excited about it.” Doman purchased the Lions in August 2021 and has repeatedly stated his commitment to helping regrow the club’s fanbase." good article https://3downnation.com/2022/06/07/lions-could-open-upper-bowl-at-bc-place-due-to-ticket-demand-for-home-opener/

thinking we handle them rather easily soley due to cohesion and the fact we basically hitting ground running...everyone on offence...save for a rook receiver was here last yr on offence, heck basically here since 2019 cup and Ellingson is a vet, knows the league...knows his QB...same on defence...bulk of the team is back..Glass is a vet and we faired quite well with 2 raw rookies last yr....team being pumped....crazy crowd noise....Ottawa will be in very tough

Harris will always be loved for what he did on the field. I have met some of my heros in life, some hockey heros and some wrestlers I admired growing up and they were all kind of assholes. Taught me that just cuz I admire the player or the character don't mean I have to admire the actual person cuz most of them really are just dicks. Not all were pieces of garbage, the ones I expected to be weren't and the ones I didn't expect to be kinda were. Human beings eh, some are good some aren't but what they say or do outside the field or ring or rink or court or whatever else, it probably doesn't matter. John Cena was one that I expected to be nicer than he was. Maybe he was having a rough day tho.

I agree. He'll be up on the WOF someday. I just wish he'd have gone out saying how proud he was to play in front of Bomber fans & donning that Bomber jersey. Thanking the Bombers for the opportunity instead of being petty & vindictive when he left. Pro football is a business. Most players don't get to go out on their own terms. Injuries, age & competition always come into the situation. My son Tyler blew out his hamstring in his left leg training in the off season between his junior & senior year at SFU. It may have cost him the starting qb position with the team. That happened in February & he wasn't ready to go when the season started in September. He only played sparingly his senior year which was a huge disappointment. That hamstring tear still bothers him today. He needs surgery but there's no rush. He would have tried harder to get on somewhere as a free agent or play in Europe but he couldn't run anymore. He wasn't ready to stop playing but the game was over for him. That's why he went into coaching. He could still stay in the game. Like he tells his qbs that he trains. To enjoy their time in the sun as most of them won't have a choice when the game tells them it's over. Happens to the greats all the time.

I heard the new owner in bc on the radio last season and he seemed to understand that you need to get asses in seats and was willing to put in the work so hopefully he is successful. If BC was a healthy market that would do wonders for the cfl.

can't argue that he did a lot here...was key to the success and where the team still is today, but he did kind of let his ego get in the way in the off-season and essentially was putting himself ahead of the team with his lil hissy fit...which is too bad. He will still be, and still is a tea legend here, and this will pass, but I think the writing was clearly on the wall, and if this yr he is in and out of the lineup, and not what he was a a feature back it won't look good on him He should have took the reduced role, the reduced pay and been the mentor and situational guy for us, and if he escaped the season injury free, and fresh for playoffs...he coulda beasted out and truly went out on top with an unreal playoff performance capped with a 3peat
  27. Holy ****! That’s fantastic! Great work!

I think we win but I don't think we blow Ottawa out. They started out very scary last year with that defense but fizzled fast because they had no offense to keep the D off the field. Something along the lines of like 24-16 final I'm calling.

Harris' (Winnipeg) legacy was hurt more by covid than by his comments for me. He had a chance to have one more really productive year, but then just trailed off with injuries.

He's also Minister of Natural Resources and Northern Development and the province has said the mining sector is open for business. I'd honestly be more shocked if his new job is not from connections made through politics. And then its just a matter of connecting the dots and seeing how the corporation has benefitted from this government in the past. I have worked some jobs when I sign a term contract. If I ever decided to leave before my contract was up, I would likely be blacklisted or at the very least that would be a big stain on my resume. It seems odd to me when politicians were elected to serve a term and then just leave, especially if their party is in power.
