These cutdown days are just another CFL stupidity. How are half the cuts known to the public and half the teams still TBA? Have the cuts in at say 2 PM central and announced by 3 PM. I’d take Dante Brown as our PR kicker over Mourtada.

Alrighty with the preseason done and the regular season only a few short days away its time to start the Lock of the Week contest. Rules are pretty simple. 1. Every week you must pick a player that will score a touchdown. Passing touchdowns don't count. Receiving, rushing, return (interception, fumble, punt and kick) count as a TD 2. There is no limit to the amount you can pick a player. If you want to pick Darvin Adams every week than you can. 3. If you fail to correctly pick then you acquire a strike. If you correctly pick you do not pick up a strike. 4. If you miss making a pick for the week you will acquire a strike. 5. All picks must be made before kickoff of the team that your selected player is playing in. 6. 5 strikes and you are out of the game. 7. Last one remaining or the one with the least strikes at the end of the year wins. 8. In the highly unlikelihood that players are tied at the end of the year - the winner will be the player who has selected the most different players thought the year. One year ago people were not thrilled with Bailey making the roster.

If he plays 18 games hes a lock for 1000+ yards IMO. 687 yards in 10 games on that horrid Elks team last year is outstanding

Well ..with Leggio getting chance to do all 3...allows us that extra skilled player DI...so can see either McRae or an additional receiver on the roster...keeping Harrison and Agudosi over the rest lends me to believe they want that tall big bodied guy to go up and get the ball with the hash mark alignment..and makes total sense

Pick 'Ems are back for the 2022 season How do they work? Each week you pick the winners for each CFL game. You get one point for every correct pick. Whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins a $50 gift certificate at the Bomber store. Picks will be done through the polling system. Polls close at game start of the first game of the week. I will accept picks for games that have not started yet through PMs if you are late getting them in. Week 1 kicks off Thursday night football with the Alouettes visiting the Stampeders. Picks need to be in by 8PM Thursday, June 9th.

Yeah...if a player can't cut it on some of those rosters... would never have a chance here

It took them 3 years to figure out Charles Nelson didn't quite fit their system, McNight has two years remaining to spring forth and surprise us.

Nobody really interests me yet although I guess I wouldn’t be surprised if we gave Trumaine Washington a look. I would rather we go with the rookies though.

I've got my fingers crossed that Ellingson isn't going to be our latest "Vet Receiver Who Didn't Pan Out/Was A Bust".... I feel like he won't replace Lawler, but he'll at least replace Adams.

McKnight has had opportunities but, IMO, has not shown much, so his presence is a bit of puzzler.

I don't get keeping Knight over many of the other options. Other than that, pretty happy.

There's 6 DB positions. DBs are generally better special teams players. A lot of our DBs are nationals (and will play ST) as well. Makes sense to me.

I mean.... You can't keep everyone. The final roster is a really really good team.

Of note also ...they have 13 guys on their pr.....you know how they luv that no...Most likely they were trying to alter that ...they just couldn't work around that number....why it took so much time.....

Players know long before the names are released to the media.

Tbh i think releasing the cuts earlier (like the bombers did) is the nice thing to do for the players. It is kind of similar to when teams have to release players so they could tryout in the NFL. Obviously noone wants to be cut, but waiting till the last moment possible is kind of a jerk move, even if teams are entitled to do so. I think players notice when organizations screw them around like that.

It should be obvious by now that they're a little slow in Saskatchewan.

And Ryan has had the longevity, just not in the CFL. It was wild watching him those first couple of years. Probably the only good part of those teams.

One of the biggest things we'll miss from Adams' departure was his blocking ability.

McKnight is a second year receiver that the coaches clearly like. He has been hurt yes, but I wouldn't count him out. IIRC the one practice I attended before he was hurt he was winning all the one on one's pretty handily. Looked impressive.

Mourtada being here in case Liegghio sleeps past his alarm clock on gameday for this week....ok. But we can and should be bringing in a better prospect for that spot either Canadian, American or Global.

The comparison to the big league teams is absurd. You're talking best in the world leagues vs the CFL. The CFL are going to be behind the NFL and SEC/Big Ten/Big 12 football in profitability no matter what they do. So if you're looking at the Leafs, the most profitable hockey team in the world versus the CFL you're nuts. If you can't come to terms with that sell the team.
