Yes like to see Geoff G. get a shot at starting. He's definitely paid his dues. Yes both of those teams are where we were in 2013. Building a culture is so important, and for the life of me I can't figure out why its so hard for so many teams. I get it in sports like the NHL, where you have a guy like Blake Wheeler making double in a season what the entire Bomber payroll is for a year, but in the CFL, you shouldn't have to tolerate fools and me first guys. The money just isn't the same. Anyway, maybe I just don't know what it's like as I've never run a CFL team so it's easy for me to judge. I just think that would be the backbone of the organization for me - culture. If you aren't here to play for the team, then get lost. How Duron Carter hung around in this league for as long as he did is a mystery to me, as there's the very definition of anti-FIFO.

With Eli as well...team knew well in advance his situation...so could have suspended him wayyy before that...or had him as the scratch...but they didn't...so obviously they didn't sour on him or not want him as part of the team...and the self policing locker room would have spoke well before that too....more is being made of it than needs to be...

People need to slow down and realize...we had all these players signed last year...as did all the teams...and many spent closer to floor than ceiling...so saying team X is over the cap..or close right now at this juncture of the off-season is ludicrous..and just plain dumb....period! As for us...a couple guys got a nice boost...but others probably a small minimal one...as all our resigns really to date are 3rd..4th contracts now...not rookie entry deals. And we got 2 guys...star impact guys (biggie and Jeffcoat) at friggin bargain...they prob both could have got 30k or more on open market...so that in itself is huge in re-upping say a Stove...BA and Rose....Darby too...I'm sure also we will get Maston on a team friendly deal too...

I don't have anyone within my circle of friends or coworkers that's unvaccinated, and anyone I was casually acquainted with that's unvaxxed is now cut out of my life completely. Delete them off SM, the whole 9 yards. As Dave says, I think so much less of them now. I don't have room in my life for someone that dumb/ignorant.

I have a coworker who didn't get vaccinated until recently, only one in the office... I think much less of her now.

I don’t think you see further mandates, just recommendations. We are a free country and as we emerge from the pandemic it will no longer fall within a reasonable exception to the Charter.

That's unlikely. With the current recommendations, it takes 8 months to get triple vaxxed, from the day you get your first jab.

When it comes specifically to the pandemic and the public health responsibilities we all have to help curb it, yelling 'my body my choice' is being misused and has helped cause significant pain and suffering. It's like yelling No means No NOT when it comes to debating sexual consent but using it absurdly to respond to someone saying you have social responsibilities. SMH.

I had no idea Stanley Bryant is 36. That’s pretty incredible for him to be as dominant as he is. Someone mentioned Desjarlais as the next Brett Jones, but it’s possible he’s better. He’s got a nasty streak that works in the NFL.

Other teams FAs are waiting for the first opportunity to come here to play. Unlike a place like sask where they have to beg and overpay.

I know there was... not a problem, but definitely a feeling of disappointment in the locker room around Eli and his decision.

No team has remotely enough players under contract to be worrying about the cap. That said I don't trust a few teams management as far as I could throw them.

Part of the FI in today's CFL is being vaxxed. If he isn't then he doesn't FI. It's his decision & his career. He won't be able to travel by air with federal regulations. No one will sign him to just play home games as teams hands are tied. Same with Massoli. I hope he does get vaxxed & he comes back. We need him.

It's not only the travel issue. The locker room is very much FIFO. He unfortunately chose to not FI...maybe he plays in the CFL, but I would be surprised if it's in blue and gold.
