I honestly didnt think they would get 7500. I'd say thats a great turnout for a Wednesday during a pandemic in cold crappy weather and 10 days away from Christmas.
  3. Regina is a terrible city. Does that go here?

33 Teams are ranked. 30. Winnipeg. The CFL Blue Bombers won their second consecutive Grey Cup and 12th in their history last weekend with a 33-25 overtime victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cars. That gave Winnipeg DE Jackson Jeffcoat as many championship rings (2) as his father Jim, who played defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys in the 1990s. Last week: Unranked

Kyle Walters said last night that the off season plan is something to the effect of we have a good team with good players. Let's try to bring them all back and go back to back to back in 2022. Excited to see who is announced first. My guess is Yoshi or Bailey.

7500 despite a mid-December Grey Cup, covid, weather, and a weeknight. Not bad at all and even though I was watching on my phone, 7500 people singing O’Shea was amazing. Imagine the home opener next season!!

Somewhere in Winnipeg there is a young stud football player looking at what Harris and Demski have done and have a dream of also leading the Bombers to a Grey Cup. They see how they are celebrated but that they also came back and committed to this franchise. Harris and Demski (and Oliveira next) have not only brought Grey Cups to the fanbase but have also sparked a new generation who will see the benefit of playing here in Winnipeg. They are truly the gift that keeps on giving.

I would go Harris over CF
  10. The players are tight to get home for Christmas. If they get a positive test before they get on the plane, they are stuck here, so I don't blame some for getting ahead of it.

My first game I ever saw was in August 1969. The Bombers beat the Riders 16-14. I remember running on the field & Ron Lancaster walked by me among other players from both teams. I was in awe as all those players on the field were all heroes to me. Back then, we didn't have NFL football on TV. We saw a couple of games a week. Only Toronto, Montreal had NHL teams & the WHA was still 3 years away. The internet was still 20 years away from existing. I went to 3 or 4 games a year until 1974 when I got season tickets & had them until 1990 when my wife & our family moved to Calgary. Now, I'm excited to say I bought two seats in Section 227 with a 3 game flex pack. for 2022. I'm back, baby!!! Three games is a big deal to me. I'm excited!! Hopefully see some of you guys in 2022!!

  23. Had to share this from Riderfans: I disagree on the receivers. All things being equal and healthy, I don't think Lawler is a number one or two on the Riders. KSB/Lenius are very competitive with Demski/Wolitarski.
  24. "Imagine going all in on BCs OL???" is the new "Imagine going all in on Cody Fajardo???"

We here in Manitoba/Winnipeg should be very proud to have the O'Shea's residing in our community. Top Shelve Family & Citizens!!!
  28. I was at a gym yesterday where some Sun players work out and I asked one of them if MOS Jr. is coming back to the Sun next year and he said that he "hoped so", given what a good player he is. I said that I thought that I heard that MOS Jr. was going to Guelph, and he said that that was in the past, and that MOS Jr. "wasn't exactly an academic guy" lol. At the very least he said he hoped MOS Jr. would come back to the Sun in a coaching capacity, as he seems to have the same gift of motivating players that his dad has. So there's the update.

I don't think us fans truly appreciate the sacrifice some of the American players make when they leave their families to come up here. Look at Houston #35 as an example. And the total solid our team did for him. But my point is the huge sacrifice some make to come here for 4-5 months away from their families. No judgement from me if they go home right away. And now with all this increasing covid crap, who can blame them??

A rational Rider fan??? I almost fell off my chair! From CFL.CA regarding the All-Star selections: GorramBatman Even as a Rider fan, I can honestly say the Riders grossly over-achieved this season. They really didn't deserve to win as many games as they did. It stings that none of them cracked the All-Star roster but frankly, I don't know if any of them deserved it more than the ones who did make it.

It really bothers me that our provincial government and Department of Health keep rolling out the numbers all the while wringing their hands and spouting platitudes. People are dying, dammit! Even more worrisome is that projections show this wave peaking in late January, and that is providing that no new variants appear. Apparently restricting the movements of the unvaccinated and people in general is not being considered as is severe prosecution of scofflaws.

I used to chat with Khari's Dad on facebook years ago. Khari knew I was as well. He told me Khari's story. He was a very nice man. We had some interesting discussions as I recall. And they wonder why they've only won 4 Grey Cups... Lol.
