Imo, faith is the only real bust. And that wasnt a strong top end of the draft. Corney couldve been great and is the biggest physical freak to come out of the cfl draft, but he was a good rotational player and was really close. I bet he could still play football if he wanted to. Waggoner was a gem on teams, and couldve done more on D. Id take him then over most of our NI depth today. The hallett boys are gonna be the back bone of our teams for years to come. And rotational quality defenders at worst. If the 19 draft was done again today, Desjarlais would go no1. Brady has been very good in limited reps too. Eli is the biggest steal in draft history. Exume was the 70th pick and instantly one of the top STs guys in the league and a rotational defensive piece. Simonise and petey are still in the league with 2nd and 3rd teams. Which is more than 90% of the top 2 rounds can say. FMB still in the league, Qadr spooner was the hot commodity back up OL for a while and was on 1 or 2 other teams but ped and injuries derailed his career. Taylor loffler had a really solid career. Immediate starting NI db in the 3rd round? yes pls. Gauthier, and briggs have done a lot for us especially this year how many 14/15 picks are still around? Normand is one of the better fbs and a sts anchor in mtl, derek jones was a big rotational piece and teamer here, and lets not forget cody speller. Undrafted free agent to starting OL. The mafia have gotten tremendous value out of each years draft. Frequently our depth players end up being depth players for other teams after playing here. Nothing is a higher sign of good drafting than your depth picks filling out rosters across the league.

Rod Black is a pro, and has mad respect from colleagues across the networks in this country. Really curious where his next gig is. While I wasn't necessarily a huge fan of his CFL calls, there are a lot of people who do like him on PBP for various things. His next gig is likely his last one before retirement, so I'm sure he didn't make the choice lightly. Congrats to him on a great run with CFL...

Not just the NI draft either. Hansen is a legit starter in the CFL and a ST monster. Nobody else has come close to his production from the Globals.

Kicking was a huge factor in that game. Crappy missed 2 fgs, and bede averaged 14 yards more per kick off. That was also the last combined bad game for bailey and adams. Combined 6/16 for 75 yards. But yes. Not having stove at that point, and having bighill playing sam and wil the argos used motion masterfully to pull him out of the box and leave it to our back up NI LBers to make stops in big gaps. With kyrie at wil, bighill not being pull out any more, and stove back in the middle the run game is closed off. That game also had 2 brutal blown calls that took a td off the board, and had us punting instead of in the red zone. And yes, we ran just 7 times for paltry yards but we still shouldve won that game. With harris and the run game chugging along as it is now, we would route the argos.

QFT. Any one who thinks igf west is in the top 50 football venues in north america has never seen any d1 or big HS game down south. I cant imagine they are letting him go. he's pretty well liked in basketball, and the old people sports. 100%. The only diversity balance I noticed in the stands at the LDC was the amount of gingers to none gingers. Lets also not forget that Coach hall openly claimed ssk as the most racist place he's ever coached. Lets keep in mind he spent most of his career in edmonton, and was born in south texas in 1960. Is IGF west one of the nicer stadiums in the cfl? Sure, for a toilet bowl shaped venue its in the top tier. But its also one of 2 stadiums in canada built for the CFL only.

That is a weak OL for Edmonton. Renfrew was one of the guys who got MR beat up in 2019 and don't think Saxelid has played LT this year (right tackle I think). Hope the boys feast.

First off I readily admitt I have never kicked a field goal in my life. You obviously havd a far greater knowledge in that department than I do and that was a great reply.But I will use your example of martial arts because I have been at that for 20 years.. When teaching my students the 1st thing I teach is correct form and technique in a particular kick. Then over time it's building muscle memory while using that proper form. So eventually it's just instinct. But then enters the mental part. People do develop bad habits over time that need correcting. Also you train them correctly but when they go into competition it's just not there.They might have a beautiful roundhouse in training but when they spar they just can't get if off. After 20 years it still surprises me who thrives at sparring and who doesn't. But back to kicking football's, once someone has learned the technique ( and at this level ,you would think that should be a given ) I would have thought it was pretty much entirely his inability to perform in the heat of action. If you are right and it is technique and knowledge of kicking from different hashmarks then he has no business in Pro ball in my opinion. Trent Corney picked in 2nd round. 2017 #1 Faith Ekakitie Say no more. 2018 Winnipeg forfeits their third-round selection after selecting Drew Wolitarsky in the 2017 Supplemental Draft. 2019 Desjarlais + Kongbo 2020 Winnipeg traded a conditional first-round pick and a third-round selection in this year's draft to Toronto in exchange for Zach Collaros and a fifth-round pick in this year's draft.

According to 3D Nation, Collaros makes about 400k and BLM and MR amke about 500K, not sure its a huge raise to keep him.
