Hi all I just wanted to say I understand some on here who don’t like another fan coming on this board especially a rival Rider fan. To be clear I’m not hear to cause any problems just to have friendly conversation will you guys . Imo we both are fans of 2 of the greatest teams in the CFL , with 2 of the greatest fan bases . What better fan forum to join then the Bombers , I just want to have good intelligent football conversations with another football fan. I understand the jabs toward me are hopefully good natured jabs at your rival and I’m fine with that. I say let’s all just be glad football is back so we all can enjoy the game I know we all love. Cant wait for the Labour Day and Banjo Bowl games , easily the best rivalry in the CFL and best games. Cheers Go Riders Go Bombers

I believe the plan is to have clinics in schools as they do for other innoculations. Curious what people think about students having to be vaccinated to play on a school team? I like the idea myself.

Harris was basically our offense in the Grey Cup season. How many balls has Oliveira caught? I haven't seen Oliveira truck guys and push for yards like I've seen Andrew do it. A healthy Harris would be an upgrade over Oliveira, no doubt.

I think we'll need more of an offensive output than last week vs Toronto for this week. Toronto has a very good offense and we could be screwed if our O isn't firing as Toronto showed their defense has teeth too.

CPC have done everything in their power to give the Libs the edge and they'll win a comfortable but not remarkable majority. O'Toole, if possible, is even worse than Scheer. They're embarrassing.

How quickly some people forget. Oliveira looked okay in G1 but the second game wasn't great. There were missed assignments and other issues. Harris is one of the greatest RBs of all time. It's a big drop-off.

I would reverse that. Trudeau is uninspiring, O'Toole (and the entire CPC, really...) is embarrassing.

So we're facing the Arrrrbuckle this weekend.

Ah yes, the annual, "We haven't beat anyone good yet" stance. I forgot how much I missed your posts. An opening month of CFL is not complete without this.

The option of having both on the field gives us much more than our back up ni wr too. Can't wait for Harris to be healthy. Adams would be huge to have back. I also hope stove and Darby are healthy soon. Us grabbing an imp lber makes it seem like both wils will be out a while.

I would rather have both Adams and Harris back. No slight on Oliveira, but he's not on Harris level yet. He will come to it for sure but at this point Harris is still our best option at RB. Adams back would mean Bailey moves as the 4th option in the receiving corp.

So only 95% then haha. It's all good. Yeah I was more focusing on the consistency Andrew has of moving the pile and getting extra yards. Can be the difference of 5 or 6 yards VS 3 or 4 some games.

I wouldn't really care if they put the Riders first in power rankings. It really means nothing. They look like a good team. They have their own strengths and weaknesses just like we do. But its really hard to compare at this point.

Common sense is what puts the team who has allowed 13 points this year against two fairly talented teams ahead of the team who handily beat one team and almost blew a 3000 point lead in a single half of football to another. The sad thing is, I guarantee had the Bombers won week 1 the way the Riders did, you’d hold it against them.

Meh, regarding addictions (alcohol, gambling etc.) realistically it is always going to be around. VLTs etc. are a huge cash cow for the province, as well as the MLCC, both negatively impact marginalized people drastically. What's the alternative though? Outlaw it? Then it goes underground, and any support groups available become nonexistent, on top of that, the government wouldn't get their cut to boot. It's good ol' capitalism hypocrisy at its' finest, so much of the marketed stuff at sporting events is bad for you not just the gambling and the booze - the unhealthy food as well. You try to police any of that and you'll be lambasted for taking away the consumers' choice. TLDR; Riders suck.

I honestly can't believe a league that is suffering financially both before and during the global pandemic, would be so eager to push a viable and potentially league saving venture like betting...I mean, under what circumstances could that be acceptable?
