Second drive, and out comes Tyler Crapigna. Miss from 42. Both just hit from 52. Itโ€™s clear to me Liegghio has the stronger leg โ€” also havenโ€™t seen him miss any of his roughly six kicks today.

nfl getting tough on anti vaccinationers. "The NFL just informed clubs that if a game cannot be rescheduled during the 18-week season in 2021 due to a COVID outbreak among unvaccinated players, the team with the outbreak will FORFEIT and be credited with a loss for playoff seeding, per sources." there is a long twitter thread on this. The hard part is mine are 3 and 6 months. Even if children get approved for a vaccine it will probably be 2+ and the baby will still be unvaccinated. People just need to keep being smart about this stuff and put an end to the spread.

It often seemed like 'Let's stop doing this before they actually stop us.' Some games, I would compare to deliberately sacrificing your Queen in a game of chess - because the other guy might capture her in the next few moves.

โ€œNinety-eight percent of hospitalized individuals with covid in Arkansas are unvaccinated,โ€ Williams said. Even though treatments are better than they were originally, a larger share of patients are ending up in intensive care, and the fatality rate for those patients remains high, experts said. โ€œThatโ€™s just indicative of the more virulent quality of the delta variant,โ€ Williams said. โ€œIt will make people sick, even people that are young and would not have felt any consequence from the original wild variant.โ€ Frighteningly, he said, far more children are being hospitalized, which was very rare until recently. As of mid-July, a dozen children were in Arkansas Childrenโ€™s Hospital, he said, and two were on ventilators. https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/interactive/2021/unvaccinated-case-rate-delta-surge/?itid=hp_mr_3

Its not an acl or he'd be done..and not running around and as an RB couldn't play with even a minor one with a brace .he'd be garbage. MCL mild to even total tear u can play through actually..and with a brace risk minimal to no further damage...but I think it prob just a minor strain as opposed to a tear and they just being precautions with it..and if we had a game tomorrow..I would be certain he'd be playing. Better to let it heal now so it doesn't linger and he doesn't need the reps..he knows his gig

So I had an interesting morning on twitter after I said I agreed that Governments should not be mandating vaccine passports for grocery stores/food purchasing. But I also think private companies whose only service is a want/privilege (in this case movie theatres) SHOULD be able to mandate vaccines in order to get in. Of course the anti-vaxxers said I was promoting a two tiered society (wait until they find out about our financial system) and that companies shouldn't be allowed to discriminate against those choosing to not get the vax. And I had to legitimately describe to people what a NEED is and what a WANT is. And this got me thinking. How is this any different than money? Let me explain and see if you can find any flaws in my logic. I don't want to work anymore. It's hard and can even be life threatening in some instances. At the very least, most jobs come with some underlying issue that is sure to impact your health. So I have decided to no longer work, in anyway...of course this means I no longer want to make money. BUT I still want everything that society has to offer to be open to me. If I want to go to the theatres I should be able to. If I want to go get a brand new car, I should be able to. If a company says "Sorry but you HAVE to pay for this product/service" that is discrimination and shouldn't be allowed.

However new variants are getting more dangerous to younger people. As someone with kids under 12 it's a concern for sure. The fact that vaccines of all things have become a political issue for a significant number of people is a sad sad statement about our society.

I will never understand the Nichols haters....just complete lunatics. Talk about his inability to stay healthy all you want, but when he was healthy, he was outstanding. He was our MOP last year till he went down. Was chucking the ball all over the field...making all the throws.

I feel bad that we have systems of power and education that allow so many of these beliefs to be held. This should be viewed as people slipping through the cracks and not having a sufficient level of critical thinking ability. As much as individuals professing crazy, society-harming beliefs pisses me off, the systems that allow so many people to have these views needs to be examined. Its a low bar, but surpassing the US in vaccination rates despite more supply issues says something about our education system and other power dynamics that exist. That we haven't got 80% of eligible people in the province a vaccine after over a year of having Covid.... I could imagine it if we said that the threat was coming, but we've already lived it. I guess going through restrictions, masking, etc. hasn't been so bad for the anti-mask/restrictions crowd that has disregarded public health measures.

I think what alot of the anti-vax , anti -mask crowd don't get is the repercussions of Covid. We talked to a Physio therapist yesterday who said she is so tired of dealing with Covid patients who survived the initial infection but now have severely damaged organs etc. Some probably will never get out of the hospital. And all they had to do was get a vaccine. My son told me one of his co-workers, a fit, healthy, 30 something guy got Covid. At one point he called his parents from the hospital to say goodbye because he didn't think he would make it. He survived BUT he has severe liver damage. He came in to see the guys at work and my son said he is a shell of his former self. Just a mess. He is a partsman and isn't healthy enough to go back to work. I don't understand how people don't take it seriously.

since "conservatives" are supposed to be concerned about spending money effectively, what is the extra cost, ie, money absolutely wasted, of caring for those who refused the vaccine? probably many billions. hand government to a dunce, treat him like he was sent by the Lord, this is the result. greed and stupidity is defeating normal intelligence, and compassion. dead end species.

  28. Nichols was a good QB for us and frankly if we don't turn to him after the 1-4 start in 2016, we likely don't win the 2019 Cup and the current regime is long gone. That said, hopefully Collaros stays healthy and gives us a little more at the QB position.

Too broad of a brush stroke. Like all vaccinations, there are unfortunately some people who are vulnerable, yet cannot be vaccinated. There are kids who are not eligible and won't be for a while too. A small minority of those with the vaccinations will have "breakthrough" cases, but I'm not sure what percent of the small percentage get negative effects more than a bad cold. Its people like this that the anti-vaxxers don't give a sh-- about. I don't think its 100% accurate, but I do like the term "The Darwin Wave"

It's simple: play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I don't know if it makes one a cold person but it's hard to feel any sympathy for an adult who's chosen to remain ignorant and misinformed, putting themselves and potentially others at risk. Social responsibility seems lost on many people and that's only been magnified since the pandemic began, choosing to prioritize their "individuality" over being decent to or considerate of others in this world. I agree with you on being tired of those types of people. They are shite.

Hopefully there's a record somehow tied to the ID she needed to produce. And hopefully, eventually, she will be able to produce evidence of it or something equal to a vax card. On the plus side, we got my son's birth certificate today and he's now a Canadian citizen, even though he was born at St. B. So at least he should be entitled to public health care too. My wife and son have not been able to be added to my private blue cross through work either because she does not have a MB health card.

It's true collaros wasn't Mike Reilly of old in our run. If Harris didn't get MOP in the gc a couple defenders would've been next on the list. We don't know for sure what to expect from collaros. But his basement imop is Nichols out side of his best year here. And his up side is MOP calibre. It's been a long time since we've seen it but collaros has been the guy who can drop 400 and 5 tds on any one. What bugs me most about plop isn't that he gets away from what works It's that he never used the successful plays to set up his progression. That's what great play calling is. It's like the only situation he's never prepared for is his game plan working. You mean when Hardrick and bond came in and got put into their successful position. We didn't become a proficient down field passing team or consistent first down grinder. It was more of the same. Just more of it. But with some of the best blocking in the league.
  43. 1 point
I agree Collaros has the ability to make things happen that Nichols doesn't But the facts are the same. His numbers were similar to Nichols. I agree with you no Plop out thinking himself. I was watching a home game against BC from 2016 (I think)...the one where Moe Legget made that game saving tackle on the goal line. The bombers O was dominate in the first half. Doing basically whatever they wanted...mostly on the back on Harris. 3rd Q rolls around, and Harris didn't get a touch until there was 1:30 left in the 3rd Q....enough time to help BC get momentum back. Why go away from what's working?
