As posted yesterday, TJ Miller, speaking on behalf of the Canucks players, said they are nowhere near ready to play professional hockey. Some of these guys were in REALLY bad shape a week ago. They can't be expected to just get up and play right away, regardless of what money is on the line. They had a conference call with the NHL/NHLPA earlier today and thankfully common sense prevailed.... they will post-pone the 'Nucks games for a bit longer yet.

I remember the movie “Internal Affairs” where Andy Garcia is being introduced into Internal Affairs as the new detective. I agree with a lot of what you said, except for the 4th line. They have been decent... Mostly driven by Perreault and Lewis is pretty solid. Thompson has no business being on an NHL team IMO. Sitting guys like Harkins and Gustafsson, so he can play, is just ridiculous.

I have no questions on the cleanliness of McDonalds. As a kid I worked at one and it was a well oiled machine with it's practices of keeping the place clean and quality control of the food they served. That being said the food is so full of preservatives and filler that the quality of it is the drizzling shits. The fries are weird and unnatural, if you ever want a good watch then check out the special features of Super Size Me in the following video....

I think there's a sense of loyalty because TSN took it on when nobody else would. Having said that, I don't know that any other network has even approached the league about possibly broadcasting games. Sure it'd be great to see CBC or S'Net come on board, but if they absolutely want no part of it.......? What can you do? Go back to the days of the CFN with Irving and Neil Lumsden? I don't think that was optimal...

It was a closed practice, i.e., no media. They have to practice to help get into game shape.

And then when the value of the product went up with better ratings nothing changed. The CFL kept dealing solely with TSN. So, they did create the situation they're in. Also, responding to TBurg's comments about TSN not keeping the price of the tv contract low for theirs & Bell's benefit, there is no way that they are paying full price or even a premium now for their TV product to the detriment of the CFL. This also drives home the problem of limited revenue streams in this country & why the CFL is in discussion with Red Bird Capital for more money. The cold reality for the haters of the CFL/XFL merger out there is that if the CFL has to go to outside sources to get that money because they can't get it from Canadian government, broadcasters & advertisers then they will be subject to those investors rules & demands. If it means 4 down football & a place for the XFL to play then so be it, I guess. Tradition & 3 down football will mean nothing which is sad.

Yeah seems like he would bring a lot of versatility. He really gets off the ball well on those blitz clips. Im not sure if he is still in that international program with the NFL or not. But even if hes a futures pick he seems like a great get for a global.

Jets have looked lethargic recently. Forbort and Stastny imo look gassed and sort of... I'll say as a whole the past several games... They haven't been very good. The team looks discombobulated and off. Wheeler out screws lines up. Copp for some reason tries to change his game when he plays with Scheif and Connor instead of doing what he would do with Lowry and Apples. Its also no coincidence to me and coach deserves credit... The 4th line has been most consistent. They driving us right now and Ehlers and 3rd line Perreault now who might fit better in the top 6 than Copp ATM cuz mp is rested and playing outstanding along with Lewis Thompson Harkins.. Lowry. Nik drives our O along with the mentioned players. Copp plays well and best with Lowry and he's the new Laine on powerplay 2 Id like to see some guys get a rest.. Forbort Statsny to start. (gassed and Forbort has been **** for weeks now) Ville Vesalainen

Dude, I'm just telling you what's going on because you like to run off on tangents. Football participation is down everywhere. The CFL is freaking broke. Trudeau turned them down again for a loan. And every game is on TSN instead of trying to get competitive by having others bid. The way the CFL conducts business is ridiculous. TSN artificially keeps the price of the tv deal low as they are the only bidder. That way Bell can make more profit off of football to the detriment of the league. The CFL knows it & still does it anyway.
