The average wage in Canada is around $50 000. According to what some of you are saying, the average Canadian should be set for life in about 15 years - large unexpected bills included. Sorry, your math does not add up.

The American for profit health care system stinks. For what it's going to cost them to incarcerate this guy, they could have paid for his health care and then some. But someone will probably be making a lot of money in their for profit prison system off of this. puke.

Hardly smoke and mirrors...we lead CFL in total touchdowns at 45...next best team has 39 Of the 45...37 are scored on offence...with 8 from Def and ST The second best scoring team (HAM) has scored 39 touchdowns...33 from their offence and 6 from Def and ST So by your logic Hamilton is all smoke and mirrors too... Calgary also...34 total touchdowns...but 6 of which came from ST and DEF....didn't realize there was a plethora of smoke and mirror teams at top of the leagues standings Last time i played...and checked.... ST and Defense were a big part of the team and vital in wins..being it scoring themselves, or preventing scores..of which we lead the league in least TD's given up as well as being tied for first with total points allowed...is that smoke and mirrors too? We have had a couple utterly pathetic brain farts, wedged between for what is the most part some pretty dominating football over all, and that was with missing anywhere from 3 to 7 starters along the way for the most part...Fool me once shame on..fool me twice shame on me....I highly doubt this team gets to a fool me three times scenario...can't see that happening I also don't include the Sask last drive win in the T.O and MTL class of crap...that was a different situation and sometimes that happens...the second game against them was proof of who truly is the better team

Been reading the transcript of the whistle blower complaint - a number of things stick out: 1. Ukraine was pressured to play ball on Trump's Biden request “Multiple U.S. officials” had told him or her that a phone call or meeting between Trump and Zelensky “would depend on whether Zelensky showed willingness to ‘play ball.’” At this point, it was “made clear” to Ukrainian officials that Trump did not want to meet Zelensky “until he saw how Zelensky ‘chose to act’ in office.” The complaint twice uses that phrase, in the second instance referring to the fact that a planned May 2019 trip to Ukraine by Vice President Mike Pence to attend Zelensky’s inauguration was cancelled after Trump “instructed” Pence not to go. Energy Secretary Rick Perry went instead. 2. The money (aid) was used as leverage Ukrainian officials knew U.S. aid could be in jeopardy. No-one disputes that around $400 million in aid that Congress had voted to supply to Ukraine was delayed by the administration. But the complaint affirms prior media reporting that Trump had at one point ordered the suspension of U.S. “security assistance” to Ukraine. The complaint notes two specific dates, July 23 and July 26, when officials from the Office and Management and Budget allegedly “stated explicitly that the instruction to suspend this assistance had come directly from the President, but they still were unaware of a policy rationale.” 3. Uncle Rudy was knee deep in it. Rudy Giuliani, has already acknowledged pressing Ukraine to investigate the Bidens. The whistle blower alleges that “multiple U.S. officials” were “deeply concerned by what they viewed as Mr. Giuliani’s circumvention of national security decision-making processes to engage with Ukrainian officials and relay messages back and forth between Kyiv and the President.” 4. White House engaged in a cover up The White House sought to hide the word-for-word transcript of the July 25th phone call with Zelensky,. This took the form of removing the “electronic transcript” of the call from the computer system where such transcripts would usually be stored and transferring it to a separate, more secure and more restricted system. (cover up) Other transcripts involving Trump had been placed into a secure system, for political reasons rather than because of legitimate national security concerns. Those officials said it was “not the first time” that transcripts had been placed into a “codeword-level” system — and that this had been done “solely for the purpose of protecting politically sensitive rather than national security sensitive — information.”

700k before taxes and expenses that go beyond the average citizen? Set for life? LMAO Also, why on earth are we assuming he averaged over 100k a year for his career? I'd say it'd be highly optimistic (almost bordering on foolish) to think that after all his taxes and job related expenses, Hefney took home more than $175,000 USD over the course of his career. Add in kids, a mortgage, bills ... how in the world does someone figure he's set for life?

CFL Mandate: One holding call per game. No more, no less. Called at a random interval.
  14. Huge O'Shea fan here, but he has his faults and one of them that always baffles me is the overly respectful way he wants to coach his football team against opponents. When O'Shea played, he was one of the most ruthless players you could imagine and there wasn't much he wouldn't do to win the game. Now that he coaches, it's like if he had his way, he'd go into the opponents locker room and hand out orange slices at halftime. If your team comes into the locker room at halftime with that kind of league and you have a young QB full of attitude, you don't stifle that with this "hold your horses, fellas" stuff, you tell them to get out there and stay focused but step on their throat and make them remember what kind of football team you are. It's ridiculous. You can blame it on the players all you want, but it's not a coincidence that this stuff has continually happened whether it was Drew Willy, Matt Nichols or Chris Streveler under centre. We get a lead, we get cautious and polite and we blow it. It's sad and quite frankly, it's the exact type of stuff that makes me believe we aren't going to win a championship unless O'Shea changes his stance on this stuff. Winners play to win and if they come into a locker room at halftime up three scores, they want to end the game up six scores. Punish the other team. Don't even get me started on LaPolice. The guy goes ultra conservative with any kind of comfortable lead and then seems to panics his way into calling stupid gimmick **** to get back on track. Brilliant offensive mind, but man does he struggle with game script and he always has. Does not put his players in a position to succeed once they get up on an opponent. It's gross that it keeps happening over and over. Beyond frustrating.

Bitter how? Is his opinion wrong? He played here for five years, four in a leadership role under the same DC whose system continues to show some ugly warts at very inopportune times. I think if anyone's qualified to have an opinion on it, it'd be Moe Leggett. Maybe he's a bitter about the way his career ended in the CFL; I think anyone as talented and passionate about the game would be, too. That's irrelevant, though. His pointing out what ails the defense when asked about it isn't without merit. He hit the nail on the head, IMO: the Bombers weren't playing to win. They were playing not to lose. And that's something we've seen a few too many times now in 2019.

Interestingly enough, NYMAG was writing about the Ukraine thing back in May. Trump Is Pressuring Ukraine to Smear Clinton and Biden THE NATIONAL INTEREST MAY 10, 2019 In 2016, Donald Trump’s campaign learned Russia was working to help him win, and many of its members actively sought to exploit that assistance. In 2020, now possessing the powers of the Executive branch, it’s pressuring a foreign government to assist Trump’s reelection campaign. The effort consists of Trump’s agents lobbying Ukraine to smear his political rivals. The smear campaign is being run by Rudy Giuliani, who — perhaps operating on the theory that a massive scandal boasted about in the media by its perpetrators is less damaging than one uncovered by investigators — is broadcasting his scheme. “There’s nothing illegal about it,” he tells the New York Times. “Somebody could say it’s improper.” Well, yes, they could. It’s grossly, terrifyingly improper. http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/05/trump-giuliani-ukraine-smear-biden-russia.html

I figured that once Jeffcoat was back we may roll with Kongbo and Hansen as the rotation guys at Roh's expense in some games, and use his DI spot for hopefully Bailey on offence...to me makes best use of our DI's Kongbo is more than adequate and with more reps gets better and better...Roh is good..don't get me wrong but Jeffcoat and Jefferson are better...and Kongbo has more upside. Interesting how the coaches have viewed O-line pecking order...Desjarlais has fared well, and in my opinion may be the best in the long run compared to Speller..Gray has been good...and bad, but right now Neufeld is the best of all the interior guys, and experience down the stretch is key...can't be having mental gaffs when games really matter...Is Gray hurt and thus why he has been surpassed this week by Speller and Desjarlais? Ace in hole is we still have Eli on PR and he in my opinion will be the best of all our Nationals, and possibly even next year.

And NewsWeek in March. If anyone doesn't by now realize that Sean Hannity is total slime by now, there is little hope for you. HOW DONALD TRUMP AND SEAN HANNITY ARE PROMOTING THEORY UKRAINE INTERFERED IN 2016 ELECTION TO HELP HILLARY CLINTON "As Ukraine prepares for its presidential elections on March 31, collusion with a foreign country and President Donald Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort have made their way into the public discourse. And President Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr., and the president's favorite television presenter Sean Hannity are helping the conversation along, alleging that anti-corruption leaders in Ukraine tried to sway the U.S. election in favor of Hillary Clinton. It all started on March 5, when U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch criticized the country's record on corruption, pointing to a recent high court decision to decriminalize illicit enrichment—when a public official has significant increases to their wealth or assets that cannot be explained by their income. Ambassador Yovanovitch specifically noted that the high court's decision weakens Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau, a law enforcement body established after a pro-Western movement ousted pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych in 2014. From there, Ukraine's officials went on the offensive, appearing to target the bureau. Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Yuriy Lutsenko, announced on U.S.-based Hill Television earlier this month that he was opening a probe into alleged efforts by Ukrainians to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Those efforts, he said, involved the head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Artem Sytnyk. He also alleged that U.S. ambassador Yovanovitch had attempted to pressure him not to prosecute certain people, a claim the State Department denied in an email to Radio Free Europe." "Previous reports suggested that Ukraine's government may have stopped cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Manafort so that the Trump administration would sell the country lethal weapons with which to defend itself from pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine. And a Ukranian court ruled in December last year that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau's transparency efforts were an attempt to influence U.S. elections. Olga Lautman, an investigator covering Russia and the former Soviet Union, told Newsweek that Lutsenko recently met with Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani in Washington, and that the efforts to create a narrative about people in Ukraine working to help Clinton and hurt Trump was coordinated with Republican leaders." https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-sean-hannity-theory-ukraine-colluded-hillary-clinton-1376867
