check out this beauty block by Bighill on the Rios pick six. Ball is tipped, Gable standing around, Bighill and Rios are barely in the frame, but they get on their horses... Rios grabs the ball, Gable is still kinda ambling around, but he's in position to touch Rios down... Nope. Bighill runs past Gable, spins 180 degrees around at full speed, gets both hands on the only guy who can make the tackle. And so... Just love watching these guys rally to each other. What a team.

As long as the D-line can pressure Fajardo into making dumb throws the numbers the O puts up won't matter very much, scoring points should flow from multiple sources. It would go along way to forgiving them for the poor Argo game if they can body-slam Fajardo and the Riders back to reality.

This is true but it definitely makes me a little more comfortable knowing that were not just a one dimensional team,harder to game plan against.

The Halifax expansion is a bad idea for many reasons, but hearing the ownership group talking about playing in 2021 and "playing a couple seasons" in Moncton while a stadium is built in Nova Scotia is complete lunacy. They'll be bankrupt before they play a game in their stadium. Based on the crowds showing to these games they are likely to lose $10-15 million a season on operations in Moncton, plus the initial costs of starting up. There's truly no benefit to the league. Is TSN going to cough up a bunch of money because there's now a team in the coveted Atlantic TV market of half a million people?

Here's what we do: 1 - buy 10 cheap tickets to the Riders game 2 - buy 10 Riders jerseys 3 - buy 10 ewes 4 - put Riders jersey on ewes 5 - put ewes in the stands The result will be that the Riders and their fans will be completely distracted by the babe-fest. Game, set, match. Oh yea, one more thing: After the win: 1 - burn Riders jerseys 2 - apologize to the ewes

Considering the Esks have statistically the better defence...obviously the better dline...the better QB..their top 2 receivers are much better than the Riders..do they even have a top 2..who else is there besides Evan's who's a threat...I think the better RB between Powell and Gable is Gable...obviously statistics show the EDM oline is better...and we swept them...so how anything other than a split at worst is the likely outcome. I dont think the rider offense has what it takes to score a lot on us until they actually show they can..anything can happen but I dont see it..hope I am not wrong haha

Ah Labour Day! living in SK is bad enough for a Bomber fan like me the rest of the year, but this weekend ( and next) it gets amped up to a whole new level. The media around here (Regina, Saskatoon) have been relentless in minimizing the Bombers accomplishments and telling us how great the Riders are (5 game win streak). I've heard numerous times that Streveler is no threat and that the Riders will sweep the series. Please Bombers, please, please win. I don't care if it's 3-2. Just win.

I would even suggest that if our *receivers* could help Streveler out by catching the ball, then his game automatically balances out. The Bombers just faced an amped up Eskimos team in a very hostile environment, in the rain. When the next best defence in the league know what’s coming, and STILL can’t stop the Bomber’s run game, then I’m not too worried about the risk of being one dimensional. On the other side of the ball, as others have suggested, the Sask offence is about to get punched in the mouth by a real defence...

Unless I missed it but I’m surprised no one mentioned that stupid chain the rider players were wearing on the sideline. They made themselves look like total morons. Act like professional football players not a bunch of hooligans. And you could tell suitor didn’t like it but wouldn’t say anything. God this team has no leadership. Someone needs to tell these guys how to act like professional football players.

Very true. There are weekends when there is not an ER open on Cape Breton to facilitate the doctor having a couple days off. They can't justify giving a dollar to a stadium.

I believe they also missed 3 separate dates to present their proposals to the Halifax city council as well. Additionally, its a market that isn't growing, with governments that have debt issues so severe that they have to cut essential services.

That game was not played in BC..it was played ineptitude. 10 games into the season and it looks like nobody knows what they’re supposed to do. I had always thought that if he got a chance and established himself that the bombers might do just that... but who knows.

Luck was booed off the field at halftime at Lucas Oil Stadium last night when word got out that he was retiring. Someone from the Colts organization (Irsay?) leaked the retirement to Jason La Canfora & he tweeted it immediately which Colts fans began learning about during the game. Angry Colts fans began taking off their Andrew Luck jerseys & started booing the guy. Luck was going to announce his retirement Sunday at a press conference in Indy but was forced to do it after the game. The man had an unfortunate series of injuries one right after the other & he just felt he couldn't go on with the pain anymore so he decided to retire. I never criticize an athlete for any decision he/she makes when it comes to injuries. They have a right to choose their own destiny & happiness in life so the booing last night was really sad.

If Streveler hits his stride, how about sign him long term and let Nichols go in the off-season. Could save cap space and keep both Bighill and Jefferson. I think Bighill is going to keep rounding into form.

Riders win next week it’s just what happens on that weekend. But Bombers win the other two. Also Ottawa as I have said for weeks is the worst team in the league.

Fajardo took advantage of the short field the defense gave him with those INTs and turned them into TDs. He was very efficient. He also had at least a couple other longer drives for TDs. He did not turn the ball over. All in all, a very good game by him. Certain folks here would be praising Nichols for a game like that even if he threw for 70 less yards than Farjardo's 240....and yet it seems like Fajardo is doing it with smoke and mirrors according to some posters. Riders are clearly better than I and many others thought they would be. We will be in tough next week, even if Nichols was starting. I will be happy with the split after the back-to-back games.

Problem is he's a beat reporter for the Lions and a known homer. It's one thing for a homer to do colour but you can't be a PBP guy on a national broadcast...
