Anybody that thinks losing Harris can somehow be minimized or glossed over.....is living in a parallel universe.

Man you’re such a downer ha Edmonton's only wins are against 'the three worst teams in the league' and three quarters of Anthony Pipkin Als... then they lost to VAJ... and lost to Calgary's backup... but they're not smoke and mirrors right? Sask is playing their backup and three of their five wins are against 'the worst teams' and Hamilton's backup... but they're an 'above .500' team to worry about Of the remaining +.500 teams left, four of them are starting their backups - so when we beat Calgary its no big deal because Arbuckle was in but now we have to worry about Calgary because our backup is starting... so confusing

QB “wins” is the worst stat in football. There’s no such thing as “all a guys does is win.” There’s a way to play QB well AND win, rather than play poorly and hope the rest of the team bails you out. So far, that’s what has happened with Nichols. The strength of the rest of the team is vastly underrated.

I'd take Franklin over Bridge any day of the week and twice on game day. We really don't need another 2nd rounder unless we lose some NI's in the off season, so I'd be happy to offer a 3rd and settle for a 2nd. Franklin wouldn't be pushing for starting time in the first few weeks anyway, so no QB controversy in the near future. I'd be more comfortable at the end of the season if we only lost 1 of Nichols, Streveler or Franklin. All that being said... I doubt Toronto makes the trade anyway.

Every over .500 team has beaten up on the weak teams. Every team but a couple has lost their starting QB. You are working very hard to discredit the best record in the league. If we got questions about our record then so does every other team too.

The 7-2 is in a large part because we played the 3 worst teams in the league twice each. That accounts for 5 of our wins. We also played Calgary with their backup QB and Hamilton with their backup QB for 3/4's of the game. The only + .500 team we played with their starting QB was Edmonton. The back 9 doesn't include any teams that are currently below .500 and we will be playing with our backup QB for the next month or two.

He hasn't looked good in Toronto but he was better than a lot of guys when he was in Edmonton. I'd absolutely take a chance on him. As mentioned in the article, a change of scenery might be all he needs...

This isn't the old Bombers. We have weapons, we have depth and we'll be fine. Also, I can't imagine Harris not playing. He'll be out there!

I think you’re underestimating the value Harris brings each and every down, he is the safety valve for the offense in a way Augustine just won’t be. The carries are only a few plays, we’d be lucky if Augustine replaces that, but then there’s 40 other plays in the game.

Ppl pretending our O was responsible for our 7 2 record is mind boggling. We legit avg like 300 yards of O a game. Streveler isnt replacing Matty D who would throw for 300 plus weekly.. Hes replacing Matty N who throws closer to 200 a game. We are the most unorthodox 7 2 Team in CFL history... The CFL where ppl routinely throw for 300 plus yards... 1936 yards put up by Nichols.. Zero receivers in the top 10.. Im optimistic that Strev might put up some deep passes to a guy like Matthews who im sure is more than ok with that. Guys a legit weapon and is barely being used.

Considering that it came out just before the RedBlacks played the Eskimos I question the motives of Pruneau who to me was being a jerk. Harris never responded & good for him that he didn't. For all we know it was Pruneau who was the so called cancer. I just think it was sour grapes.

it always does, the CFL back loads the schedule with divisional games to create excitement leading into the playoffs. Thusfar however, the Bombers have beaten their 2 closest rivals in the west so what's the problem? That they need to do it again? Well yeah, that's how football works.

I think he acquitted himself relatively well. Don't get me wrong - the guy was no hall of famer, but I think he was unfairly maligned as terrible

Respectfully disagree.. I’ve been a Harris fan and believe he and has been a top tier for the past couple of years. would have taken him over Nichols any day of the week. He’s good enough to win a championship

Grant has ran a lot of plays outta backfield..has also thrown the ball..2 td passes in college He is on roster as it is..swap out Lawler and him for some sets..with him and lucky in motion..along with Harris and Demski.. and Strevs run threat..u see who is covering the guys in motion out wide..exploit the holes with Woli and Matthew's.. and or Strev has huge holes to run through..in open space in full gallop..good luck with that. Also will give Woli and Matthew's lots of big gains...

Ignoring the anthem stuff.. Kaepernick as a player was extremely lazy and it took Harbaugh to get on his ass daily just to get him to study and practice. The guy is nothing but trouble.

I blame this fiasco on Marcel Desjardins who more than ever this season has shown he really is the GM from Hamilton who ran that franchise into the ground. Not the guy who built the RedBlacks. Thinking he could win with Dominique Davis & Jonathan Jennings over Trevor Harris. Now his team is struggling. Great job, Marcel.

OTT, one of the supposedly best managed and coached team in the league just hired Joe Paopao to try and fix an offense deliberately deprived of Harris, Ellingson, Spencer. Sometimes it's clear and easy to pinpoint a teams decline.

I would not call him pretentious. He took a principled stand that has cost him a lot of abuse and has given up millions in income.

The guy has come back from a broken leg (2012), torn ACL (2013) and a non-contact knee injury (2018). He also played through the 2017 playoffs with a broken ring finger and got absolutely walloped on the play that knocked him out of the game yesterday. Since the start of the 2015 season, Mike Reilly has played exactly 1 more game (72 of 90) than Matt Nichols (71 of 90). Our QB may be alot of things, but "soft" as you imply, is not one of them.
