Coached ringette when my daughter went from 8 thru 18 and hockey when my son went from 4 thru 16 so have a couple theories... Ringette is a non- collision sport, much like basketball. There is a ton of contact, and getting more aggressive as coached by the more aggressive AA coaches ( remember this is a personal theory based on observation) who are coaching based on what is and isn't being called as penalties Ringette only has two on ice officials and most of the time they need to watch the ring , to see who has control,to watch the markings on the ice - those lines at the top of the circle and the crease lines are more important in the rules than in hockey, - so their vision is almost always down - contact above the waist is rarely called unless truly aggressive, and then often miss called based on the outcome that they see when they transfer their line of sight If ever a sport needed a 3rd ref., ringette is it - it's essentially playing hockey with two linesmen and no ref Also from a young age the coaches are taught to teach the boys how to take a hit and how to skate safe - shoulders up, eyes up, protect the head And never skate straight on into the boards to retrieve the puck, skate in at an angle- sadly I realized this too late to really help my daughter and those teams - but if you watch a ringette game you'll cringe how often a girl will skate full bore straight at the ring along the boards- Ever notice the lack of the Stop sign on the upper back of ringette jerseys ? So long way of me saying it's because of the lack of coaching safety from the youngest ages and the lack of the 3rd ref based on the misbelief it is a non contact sport

So you're all too willing to accept the conclusion from the Trump-appointed AG, but will deny anything coming straight from the Mueller team, the very people who conducted the investigation. We just want some transparency about the situation, even if none of it leads to criminal charges against Trump himself. You're blind if you can't see that the Republicans are hiding something. If the report wasn't damning in any way, it would have been released by now.

There were major warning signs back in December that Maurice was over-playing his top line and that the D was not tight... everyone kept their fingers crossed - now its evident that Maurice's judgement seems to be off. Without Helle, this team is probably not even in the playoffs...

There is a simple way to solve all this: release the report to the public and let them decide. You'd think that anyone who was exonerated would have no problems with the people seeing it... unless the AG was lying to protect a Republican president... not like the guy has a history of partisan protection.... on no wait, he does. He let everyone off in the Iran contra deal to prevent people from digging to find out how deep the rot went in the Republican party. The more things change the more they stay the same.

In rural areas you will often have pockets of small classes - 8 to 12 students. A 19.8 average means there are high numbers in the core areas - 30 to 45 students. Highschool teachers most often bear the brunt of that.

People have to first realize that a true socialist nor a true capitalist state has ever existed, so attacking either with a broad brush is useless. There have been successes and failures on variations (and combinations) of both. "So here’s the big difference: In Norway, capitalism serves the people. The government, elected by the people, sees to that. All eight of the parties that won parliamentary seats in the last national election—including the conservative Høyre party now leading the government—are committed to maintaining the welfare state. In the United States, however, neoliberal politics puts the foxes in charge of the henhouse, and capitalists have used the wealth generated by their enterprises (as well as financial and political manipulations) to capture the state and pluck the chickens. They’ve done a masterful job of chewing up organized labor. Today, only 11 percent of American workers belong to a union. In Norway, that number is 52 percent; in Denmark, 67 percent; in Sweden, 70 percent. Thus, in the United States, oligarchs maximize their wealth and keep it, using the “democratically elected” government to shape policies and laws favorable to the interests of their foxy class." "Which brings us to the heart of Scandinavian democracy: the equality of women and men. In the 1970s, Norwegian feminists marched into politics and picked up the pace of democratic change. Norway needed a larger labor force, and women were the answer. Housewives moved into paid work on equal footing with men, nearly doubling the tax base. That has, in fact, meant more to Norwegian prosperity than the coincidental discovery of North Atlantic oil reserves. The Ministry of Finance recently calculated that those additional working mothers add to Norway’s net national wealth a value equivalent to its “total petroleum wealth”—currently held in the world’s largest sovereign-wealth fund, worth over $873 billion. By 1981, women were sitting in parliament, in the prime minister’s chair, and in her cabinet." "American feminists also marched for such goals in the 1970s, but the big boys, busy with their own White House intrigues, initiated a war on women that set the country back and still rages today in brutal attacks on women’s basic civil rights, healthcare, and reproductive freedom. In 1971, thanks to the hard work of organized feminists, Congress passed the bipartisan Comprehensive Child Development Bill to establish a multibillion-dollar national daycare system for the children of working parents. In 1972, President Richard Nixon vetoed it, and that was that. In 1972, Congress also passed a bill (first proposed in 1923) to amend the Constitution to grant equal rights of citizenship to women. Ratified by only 35 states—three short of the required 38—that Equal Rights Amendment was declared dead in 1982, leaving American women in legal limbo." https://www.thenation.com/article/after-i-lived-in-norway-america-felt-backward-heres-why/

You'd think that after firing the FBI director, the FBI Deputy Director, attempting to fire the Special Prosecutor and the Attorney General (who wouldn't recuse himself) and installing an acting AG (bypassing Senate confirmation) who was on record suggesting the investigation be de-funded and then installing an AG who believes presidents have king-like powers, people would recognize that Trump will do whatever he can to hide all of his and his family's misdeeds. Not to mention published and documented examples of conspiracy and attempted conspiracy..... https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/11/us/politics/trump-russia-email-clinton.html https://www.denverpost.com/2019/01/08/manafort-polling-data-russia/ https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-adviser-roger-stone-admits-contact-with-guccifer-2-0-during-campaign/

There are many issues here. One - some programs take concussions very seriously and record everything. That's not true with football and hockey (in Manitoba). It's ongoing problem and parents are part of it. Second - we don't measure micro-concussions but the science is evolving. Helmet technology in football is recording the impacts that linemen take on each play. It's not enough force to cause visible concussion symptoms but researchers are connecting these micro-concussions to long-term health issues. Unfortunately, you can't study someones brain until their dead and, unfortunately, they're getting lots of samples. Third - We only record when we see something and pull them off the field or ice. They can't even get this right at the professional level, so what makes you think they're getting this right at amateur level. ** Studied concussions as part of health policy and have met with doctors, sports orgs, and manufacturers of impact measurement devices. Also read emerging health research on the issue.

This is such a myth tho.. They are a skilled team being forced to play a grinding dump n chase cycle game. Jets might be tall i guess.. But not really... I don't know where this myth started... Jets were a grinder team when Ladd was here but not since then.. 100 percent skill team playing a grinding game that dont work with skilled players.. Its not just the O that is sputtering since the start of the new year.. These guys cant make 2 passes in a row.

We brought him in because of what he was doing on the indies and feeling he'd be good experience for Kenny. I posted the Kenny match in an edit to my original post if you missed it.
