Mark Scheifele, the Winnipeg Jets top-line centre, today was named the NHL's first star of the week.

I want to know more if there is a story here for sure. I don't like things getting ignored or swept under rug at all. I'd just like to see mainstream media pick it up and see if its a story. I'm not going either way on this, just not sure this is credible.

Its pretty well known that a lot of people don't like Jones. I don't think however anyone should be able to just report things like this without any proof. If there is more to this, then I want to hear all about it.

In a game of that importance, your quarterback ought to be at least one of the stars, and Nichols was not. That is not good.

Front office becomes leery as negativity mounts. Select few follow suit. 3. More and more negativity is selectively leaked as firing is foregone conclusion. Select few being full participants . 4. Jones is fired. Avalanche of horror stories begins. Jones is now officially a villain, all accomplishments suspect or dismissed. One or more of select few reveals "I knew it all along but didn't want to say anything..." etc. 5. New guy hired. Reset process.

As much as I dislike how Jones coaches, I'm with you on credibility, something smells funny about the original source. Poorly written with no meat behind it.

Pretending that Demond Washington wasn't a good player? Fogg is what he is, he's a versatile guy that can wear a lot of hats. He may not be the absolute best cover guy out there, but he is OK and has a knack for turning the ball over as well as the ability to be a returner.

Well the sad fact is there are really only 2 qbs you can rely on in the CFL right now, Reilly and BLM. That doesn't suddenly make Masoli consistent.

now that the Stamps have released Mathews to pursue NFL interest, Walters should be in his ear letting it be known that if it doesn't pan out...he has a pail of cash waiting for him and the opportunity to be "the guy" in the offence....he more than showed he still has it, and would be a huge difference maker

Fogg is too much like Demond Washington for my taste and he's not a guy that I'd prioritize when looking at our free agent list.

That's very true. he was very nicholsesque that he never really fumbled or lost yardage.. But I'd like to see more risk.. try to break one more then just catch, trudge forward 5 yards and down.

I understand your frustration, but I'm always wary to crown a new KR/PR based on a small sample size... often teams just need a few games of film to figure out their tendencies, then thereafter are better at corralling the player... As for getting picked on though - agree 100%.

With MOS we have been able to actually (and finally) attract free agents here, and players play hard for him. Walters actually works on building things through draft.
