Pretty obvious considering the other options. Anyone check out a practice this year? If not. You should and watch willy and Nichols. There is a reason willy is starting.  It's because Nichols sucks.

hmmm.. But  Nichols looked okay last years.  He game close to winning games expect for a kicker on the fritz..

Why are we so cursed?

I am not pining for Glenn.  I think Orridge should mandate a trade between Calgary and Winnipeg where Calgary gives Winnipeg Tate, purely because it's just not fair that we have to go through yet anot

Rielly was probably hit more frequently and injured more often than Willy in his first few seasons with the Esks and he has bounced back a few times to become one of the best, if not the best, quarter

  • You know what I would honestly do? When Willy gets the shell shocked look, and you can tell when it happens, I'd put Nichols in for a series or two just to give Willy a break and let him watch from th

an addendum to this previous comment - Orridge could let us keep Willy, but mandate that all CFL defenses can only rush three players maximum on every down.

We are so 'cursed' because our GM's are unable to sign the best QB talent because we never have a stable OC or OL...  like offering Collaros more $$ but still being passed over...

And then cursed because we run with our starter even after they are hurt or declining in performance... then call up our mediocre backup and limp along with him...

Then in the last couple games of the season, we start our third-stringer, he looks good against defences that are resting... and we declare him the QB of the future.

Ummmm.....we haven't had that working well for us when it has happened so far this season, but you were using sarcasm- right? Right?

I think 1 word played a role in Collaros signing in Hamilton. It basically comes down to location.  Closer to his family than Winnipeg

Also hes hurt right now so we'd be playing our backup anyway

yeah but he wouldn't have been hurt because he'd have been playing behind our O-line, not Hamilton's, so he would have had much better protecti....oh never mind.

How many concussions has Willy had?  Sorry if someone already brought this up.. Could we seeing the effects of brain damage?  Sure, in everyday life you'd never know.  But the fraction of seconds you make decisions as a QB and all the split second calculations that happen in your brain while throwing a ball deep etc...could he simply be damaged? We hear of great runners who come back from knee injuries at "100%" but are clearly not the same.  Might not be different with the brain.  That would explain why he didnt look all that great through training camp too.
