It will go to Scheifs for sure. I'd be surprised if it doesn't.  Wheeler isn't signed for 8 years. Scheifs is. You give the C to Scheifs now and you won't need to change captains in 2 or 3 years. 

This is Scheifs team. Kid was groomed for it since he was drafted.  Wheeler can have an A.

Jets now have about $10M.5 of cap space with Trouba, Armia and Lowry to sign (all RFAs).

Of course if we also currently have 23 players under contract, so with the players who have to be sent down after those 3, it will probably be closer to $15M.

5.5 will go to trouba. Maybe 1 to Lowry and doubt Armia gets 1 million. Jets should have about 5 6 7 million left after all is said and done. Next year. ... Stafford Pav and thorburn opens up about 10 million in space. Plus whoever they lose to expansion  (Matthias Lowry Dano ). Not to even mention guys like peluso Burmi etc who have 1 year left.  Chiarot. Postma.

Both the Buff and Scheif deals are really nice...

Long way from paying premiums to Enstrom and Pavs to stay in Wpg...  this feels like guys signing because they think there's a chance to win

Enstrom is a legit number 1 d man.  Fair deal at the time. The pav Stuart and thorburn deals tho were headscratchers 

Heard Schief on 1290. Said he wasn't involved until it heated up and then he was quite involved and it was his decision. Says he wanted to be here and is proud to be here. Mentioned Buff signing as a good sign and is excited about the talent and future.
