Enstrom must be protected as he has a no movement clause. If trouba returns they have to protect four D unless they can make a deal to leave Trouba Myers or Buff unprotected and not chosen. We will lose s good player no matter what 

Tobi can waive his NMC....Buff has one too.

Leave player x unprotected and they don't take Enstrom or give them a draft pick.

if we go 1-8 we will lose a good player.

Not sure LV would want the lil general on their D.

all the more reason for them not to take him if he is left unprotected.

Why would enstrom do that? Unless he has a desire to go play in Las Vegas. Unlikely to do it. There are ways to get around it but most likely Jets would protect 4 d and lose a solid forward. Lowry or Armia.

Enstrom cannot be exposed. He just be protected. So you're suggesting the jets ask Enstrom to waive his no movement clause so they can expose him but not to worry because they make a deal with Vegas not to choose him?  Seems unlikely to me. More likely they would just ask Enstron to waive and he'd say no. 

 we won't be the only ones to be making a deal with Las Vegas like this. You talk to Las Vegas first and that you make the deal and you tell him that the deal is made so he waves his no movement cause for the draft. As far as I'm concerned this is the smartest thing to do because it messes protect 7 for words and not for. If we protect for four words we will lose a very good player. If we protect 7 four words we lose the third fourth line tweener

 I am voice to text app on my phone and it doesn't always type what I say but I think you can get the gist of it.

Depends on if Vegas wants a player for now or picks to build for the future. 

Otherwise why would they make a deal so they can pick a worse player from us. 

If I was Vegas I might just say no deal and force the Jets to expose a player like Armia.

Just saying there is many variables and discussions in this, it really isn't as straight forward of suggesting 'make a deal' for them not to take a player.

Pretty good tool here to do mock expansion drafts and protects for each team.  Linked to the Jets page, shows who is exempt and who has NMC.  Stuart doesn't need to be protected.

Odds are they protect 4 D and then only 4 forwards. Leaves Dano or Lowry as likely picks by Vegas. Then again maybe they'd snag Burmi .

If you want to keep him. He would still be eligible to be selected by Vegas. So jets would protect him. 

Didnt the NHL just make a rule allowing Vegas to target free agents prior to the rest of the league? Not sure if that impacts trouba at all, I didn't listen too closely 

Yeah Trouba is interesting in that hes unsigned RFA. Need to question Wiebe on this. Unless someone knows. Vegas gonna have the best team of 3rd line wingers.

Trouba is definitely eligible even if unsigned. Jets have to protect him or Vegas can select him in the expansion draft and then he'd be their unsigned RFA
