I'm sure you know my statement was an exaggeration dripping with sarcasm. But honestly would this player have survived if it happened here?  (Or some other US cities for that matter). His proximity to this advanced care saves him. Heartwarming story to be sure.

St Boniface is pretty impressive when it comes to heart issues.  

NHL game last night(Monday) between DET/CAR was cancelled due to freon leak.

My sister has had numerous open heart surgeries but never in Winnipeg.  Not a chance.  Neither my parents nor her cardiologist would allow it.

None of which changes my initial sarcastic post.

Think the Oilers should be below the leafs and Jets. If you really want to get technical here... Kyle Connor Jack Roslovic and Josh  Morrissey  probably push the Jets to 1. 

McDavid automatically puts them in first I guess. In a few years we'll find out if he has the surrounding cast.

 

Gonna be interesting to see what Chicago has planned in the off season to fit this under the cap.

Hawks have Less than half a million left this year so as Rich noted they will need to make some moves in the off season.   They have no one big coming off either 

Campbell comes off but he's only $1.5m
