Bombers ran a mini-camp of sorts today; worked out 5-6 new players, mostly DB's; will likely be a signing or two out of this.

Any word if they are of average or above in height?

Cue the 5'8" DB's.

 

Seriously though, no chance any of these guys play this week.

Why not play them?  Just tell them to stay at least 5 yards away from any receiver and they will fit right in......

Would be so nice to have new DBs brought in.

Tough for non cfl players to come in and play right away. The biggest adjustment for them is the waggle of the slots. They aren't accustom to someone coming at them full speed at the LOS.

Not tough to play our cover 0.  ie. cover no one.

 

Looks like the village will be getting some Smurfs back shortly.

Suber couldn't even find the ball while holding and facemasking Dressler standing still.  Guy just can't make a play on the ball...ever.  He's still playing at the same level he did as a rookie, hard to believe he's lasted this long.  Too bad he can't face Richardson every week.

The only way this group of DB's could be in tight coverage is if they are drinking before and during the game.

Has there been any leaks lately about any players on the Bombers neg list? I keep hearing about other teams having some big names, but don't recall hearing any with regards to the Bombers. It would be nice to have something to look forward to even though there is little chance of them ever signing. Some hope to cling to at least.

So when Penton had one of his CFL insiders tell him that the Bombers neg list was the worst in the League according to the insider's GM that insider/GM is full of hooey?

I guess it depends who's opinion of our neg list is more realistic and has more experience and value. Both are after all just that- opinions.

That's a big kid.  He seems more like a LB/S type.  Ian Wilde has been good this year so I wonder if there looking to replace Muamba...
