Helle starting. Same exact lines as last game.

Klefbom out is a big loss, Davidson out isn't horrible except Fayne has been much much worse than he should be. It'll come down to whether Edmonton has their finish or not. Hall and Draisaitl will get their chances just whether or not they go in.

Talbot is the reason this is  a two goal game.... robbing the Jets' shooters.

Too much perimeter play. 

Talbot and d zone breakdowns by the Jets. Ladd. Myers. Both caught out of position on the 3rd goal. 

Whatever happened to that D first team from last year. The D is the same. Just a gong show in their own zone most nights. Ladd isn't worth 3 million right now. Never mind 7 or whatever he wants. 

The core group on this team needs to change and i think Chevy knows this. If Ladd was so important to this team he would have been signed all ready

yup, good on O but not so much on D....Myers? he was watching the guy BEHIND the net on that goal...

 

Buff is the one to keep, he has had a strong year. The best D man we have.

Have to win these games. 

They have three games against Nashville in January which is their one saving grace. Maybe. 

Talbot steals a game.

Hard to fault the team not counting Helle's poor play. I didn't think Ladd did much out there and Armia played well enough to take Thorburn's place on the 3rd line. The United Nations line should be the new 3rd line.... Ehlers Burmi Armia ... Armia has shown enough D savvy to warrant another start for sure.

 

2 points stolen Edmonton was not in the game in the 2nd and 3rd but the Jets couldn't beat Talbot. Burmi and Ehlers were flying out there, Thor just can keep up , Ladd was a anchor again tonight and the PP still doesn't have anyone in front of the net. Not one of Helles best games for sure but he's learning on the fly. 

I really don't blame Helle. EDM just knows how to score.

How many more games do I have to read about Ladd not being good enough before we move on from him?

buff is dynamic but Ladd and buff as UFA's give us the best chance to stock the cupboard.  Let Wheeler and Little be the grizzled veterans leading a young rebuild. 

Trade Ladd and keep Buff.

Burmi had a good game but no finish to his game.

PP sucks eggs.

Trade both Ladd and Buff. Core needs to change and moving them gets you first rounders and prospects. This isn't a playoff team. Helle was fine. Can't be blamed for any of the goals. Maybe the first but deflected off Stuart. Can't blame him for 2 one timers from 10 15 feet away even closer. PP was 0 for again. Ehlers Wheeler Burmi had strong games. Ladd myers did not. Why keep buff. He's more valuable to another team right now than he is to us. Time for a mini rebuild. That means bye to buff Ladd maybe enstrom too. Gotta break up that thrashers core a bit 

Is that the third goal Stu has scored on Helle?

There shouldn't be a 'p' in front of 'Oilers' in the thread title. The 's' should remain. Jets were robbed by Talbot and a little unlucky.
