May 15May 15 comment_751092 I remember the end of April or early May 1972 when I was in Grade 11. My father bought a used boat as we used to do a lot of fishing. Our other boat was just too small. It was pretty sweet with a 70 hp engine so I was excited. I volunteered to clean the boat inside & out as he wanted it ready to go Opening Day. I just about died in the heat cleaning the boat as temps were in the high 20's & low 30's.

It's amazing, the human resources and tech that go into monitoring and fighting forest fires. Then the whole situation is resolved by something as old as the planet...rain.

People haven't opened thir cottages. Plus that kind of heat just isn't normal. Things will get back into the swing of things this long weekend.
