Posted December 5, 20159 yr comment_172960 Just saw this & so far no local media outlet in Calgary has jumped on it & I'm not surprised. If this was the NHL there'd be columns already posted at the Calgary Herald & Sun. Former Stamps running back Willie Burden #10 has passed away. http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/college/acc/nc-state/article48083700.html

December 6, 20159 yr Author comment_173056 George Hopkins the Stamps Equipment Manager who's been with the team since the 70's said Willie was the nicest player he ever met. Polite, always smiling. He said he met a few low life players in his time that came & went along with the greats but Burden was the best.
December 6, 20159 yr comment_173073 To this day no running back has dominated like he did in 75. Unstoppable and unforgettable. Very sad to hear of his passing.
