  • Good grief...we get Muamba and we win? Too cheap?...we spent way more money acquiring players this year than in years past! Guess you just don't want to count guys like Westerman, Nick Moore, Ian Wild

Not even sure where to start with a post like this. So many wrong things. When you spelled Henoc as Enoch, I thought the post was intentionally sarcastic. Nope.

That was an argument for Steele making an objective decision about where he might play. I understand he is from Winnipeg and we know geography can be a huge influence on where a player plays but there are other factors that players weigh in as well.

I think he makes a pretty good point. EDM looks like they are set to be a contender for a few years. WPG, not so much.

And, according to an unnamed source, the Big Blue are considering a name change to "Ringling Brothers, Bombers, and Bailey".

G-R-O-A-N-!

Back in 2010 the Grey Cup winning players earned an extra $22,800 throughout the 3 week playoffs.  The losers in the Grey Cup took home $14,800.

Teams going out in each of the prior rounds would go down from there.

Don't know if it has gone up since with the new TV deal.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has. Not bad pocket change for Xmas, is it?

It is a huge bonus for players making the minimum 40ish k

$3,400 for semi final participation or first place bye.

$3,600 division final participation.

$8,000 Grey Cup finalist

$16,000 Grey Cup winner.

So Rich was pretty much bang on with his 2010 numbers.

On the playoff bonus front, a player on a Grey Cup-winning team (like the 2010 Montreal Alouettes, pictured above at their celebratory parade last December) hauls in a total of an extra $22,800, 38 per cent of the league's median salary

Is that lessened if the team your on only plays the east or west final and gc? Almost seems better to strive for a home semi game (2nd place finish) than 1st strictly from a monetary stand point from players perspective

no, 1st place team gets $3,400 for the bye. So you get paid even though you don't play.
