He might have to. He's the only backup receiver listed.

I thought Cole was playing well. The decisions we've made on the defensive line this year have been absolutely atrocious.

Well ... technically Stoudermire. But the way I see that shaping up is that Capers and Burnett would sit.

On the 46, I'm guessing (1) Capers and (2) any of Cone or Burnett.

 

Burnett can backup at LB and Safety and a good ST'er.

But if O'Shea wants to shake the ST, he might want to give Cone a look at KR plus we normally carry 7 receivers.

I would assume that's what the plethora of linebackers is for.

Peach is a sacred cow, I don't get how Johnson stays on over Cole. Forget than Johnson can slide inside a bit, they seem to prefer average guys who are really not good at any spot (Johnson, Fraser) to guys who can actually play and make a difference (Cole, Gibson).

I also don't get why they aren't auditioning imports at RT. We've got the extra import spot on offence, use it. If they are looking at Neufeld as a long-term player, I've lost all hope.

I'll go to my stock response when I see stuff like this coming out of this team ...

This does seem like - "it's your last chance" kind of roster for some of the players. Weird about Cronk, Johnson over Cole, the very ineffective Stoudermire, Neufeld. I just wonder how they go about settling on the roster. What the heck does Cronk do out there? Are they preparing something special, linebacker-wise, for Calgary? Gawd, I hope so.

Only reasoning I can think of is they're preparing to defend against the "John Cornish Show" and may choose run stopping ability and positional play over pass-rush capability.
